i gotta agree, converse is getting a bit too much heat. sure most of the heat is due to him not really thinking or not adding anything when he makes posts but still, he is probably just young. overall he is trying which is more than we can say about alot of people here

I actually wonder why he doesn't fight back. Maybe he's smart that way. If he fight back (a losing battle, mark my words) more people will be on his case. We're all just sick of what he's doing. Yeah, I'll let him be. I sure hope in a few years he'll grow up and be one of the better posters in this forum. Hey, it's happened before.

Being young is not an excuse. Young doesn't mean that you can't think before posting.

Maybe Smush Parker may not even bac-up Jason Willliams. Everyone clearly know smush his not a "point guard". He doesn't pass. He'll probably back up Wade, i mean they're both the same size. Penny Hardaway is a way better Point gurad than smush, they might put him at point guard. Or sign a back up point guard.

Alexander Johnson is a nice signing...maybe their best of this offseason.

I wouldn't be surprised if Payton hangs it up, though I'd kind of like to see him return to the Sonics for a farewall tour. Incidentally, his first game back with the Sonics would be his 1000th with the club.

Yes, it was so sad they shipped him at 999, but I know the reason he didn't even consider a return was because he didn't get along with Sonics management, but they've completely cleaned house so maybe he'd try it. I know he sort of hinted at the idea in his "thank you" speech after being named one of the Sonics 15 greatest players.

He was asked if he'd return and he said not with the current management but maybe someday.

If he did return, it'd be awesome and he'd get a standing ovation every game. Then, Griffey would return as well and then we'd trade for Randy Johnson and A Rod and Seattle would be back to the winning days of the 90's.

Isn't Ichiro, Sexy, Ibanez, and JJ good enough? The M's are already in their winning days.

Uh, anyway, back on topic. It would be great if he returns, but like Andrew said, he just might retire.

Yes, the M's have FINALLY returned to the winning days. But up until this point.... they hadn't been in true form since before september 11, 2001. I suppose though, that there is some Seattle rule that only two teams can be good at once, because as soon as the Seahawks are good, the Sonics stumble, and when they're both good, the M's are terrible (04-05).

Anyway, on topic, I'm hoping for a Seattle return, I think he just might, but my gut feeling is no, but whoever trusts that?

Guys, now that Posey is gone,EJ is gone, and kapono is gone...will the heat still capable to win the title? For me yes. They still have to be healthy to do that.

If Shaq and Wade are healthy, I still don't see them making it past first round.
We'll have to see how Orlando does and if the Heat makes any changes in their roster. They have a very slim chance of clinching their division so they'll probably be the 7th or 8th seed or miss the playoffs completely.
I see the EC finishing like this:
1. Detroit
2. Boston
3. Chicago
4. Orlando
5. Cleveland
6. Toronto
7. Washington/Miami
8. New Jersey

7. Washington/Miami

I kinda disagree with that.IMO Miami's highest possible seed is 2 or 3.While 6 being the lowest.

Bots don't have opinions and if the Heat only got 4th seed with 44 wins last season, how could you say they'll do better this season without Posey, Kapono, and Payton? Then the Heat have to worry about Washington and Orlando challenging them for the division title and Boston on the rise to lessen their chances of obtaining a spot in the playoffs.

I still support the Heat, but I'm just telling it as it is. I hope they will make some good deals before the season starts, but it seems highly unlikely since every other team has more to offer.

Anything is possible but considering they were swept out of the first round with those players on the team (admittedly hobbled by injuries as well), I'd hardly consider it a lock.

I thought we already disscussed the fact that he wasn't a bot, just some really, really young kid.

I still think the Heat will have trouble making the playoffs, although there aren't many teams that can challenge them for the spots. They have an aging Shaq and if Wade gets injured, no one can fancy their chances too much.

How on earth can Miami get a 2 seed? Detroit is almost a lock for 1st or 2nd, and Boston (if not (I hope), then Toronto) gets the other. Although Lewis is overpaid, he's still a decent player for Orlando who will give them a run for their money as far as the division goes.

Was that discussed in this thread?
I didn't bother to read much of the previous posts.
