Touchy subject. I'm just glad it was no german who started this. That could have propelled the "discussion" to a even higher level.
Btw: Do something like that in a german based community and you just get banned...

All right guys, I won't say any more bad words about Macedonia, except that I'll be waiting for the rematch (evil).
Spain won the gold medal, unfortunately. Now they have two. Two more gold medals and we'll get pushed to 2nd place for most number of gold medals by an existing country in Europe.
Russia ripped the bronze medal right out of the hands of Macedonians

Honestly? What the fuck does skin color have to do with Basketball? I know we are all a bit racist but who gives a shit about McCalebbs skin? If he was white what have you said then? White Trash?
Was rooting for France,but yeh.

Not a thing but then nationality matters. Spain owned y'all so zip it and suck it losers just like iamamac said.
Cruzerr wrote:I know we are all a bit racist
I am not. You racists sickens me.
Cruzerr wrote:Was rooting for France, but yeh.
See? Nationality matters. France obviously needs more black athletes.

Can't imagine this is even possible.

Spain played great despite that hard foul by Fernandez. I really liked those off ballance buzzer beater by Marc Gasol and Ibaka's blocks were also eye candies. Spain just deserved to win.

It doesnt make sense if national team has players who are not from that country. It just ruins the whole point of tournament.Just look what happened with national teams from former Yugoslavia.Except Serbia and Slovenia, every country has a black guy in the team. And only Macedonia made it to the 2nd round.
Spain did good this time but World Championship is the real thing
Mon Sep 19, 2011 7:53 pm
Well it's hard not to agree. Despite or "black guy" is white.
Kaman opted to play for Germany and was able to, because his great grandparents came from Germany. I would not call it a strong bond which connects Kaman and Germany.
Things are even more weird if you look at Bo McCalebb who has simply nothing to do with Macedonia...
Mon Sep 19, 2011 10:23 pm
NovU, my team was not even in the tournament. So I actually wont say that I care which team won so much. But I hate when you people call people N*ggas just because they killed a team.

All right Cruzerr, what if Estonia had a good chance to win against a weak team (like Moldova) in the quarterfinals (and Estonia was playing at home). Estonia is winning, and suddenly a naturalized black (or white, hispanic, asian, whatever) guy (who is not even 1.80 meters) comes up and makes a couple of baskets and wins the game, eliminating Estonia, would you say "the black guy is amazing; I have respect for him" and be perfectly happy with the game? I don't think so! You'd call the naturalized bastard a scumbag, you'd be overcome with emotion. You'd call the "national" team a cheater. The biggest concern here is McCALEBB HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MACEDONIA, YET HE HAS MACEDONIAN CITIZENSHIP!
Also, you know that basketball is like a second religion in Lithuania and a loss like that really wounds our pride. Lithuania will avenge itself against Macedonia. I hope we'll grind Macedonia to pieces. We'll get Kleiza, Maciulis and Dulkys (who will posterize McCalebb) and put the game away.

Oh cmon,I mean I dont want to be offensive but Turkey is now on its place, where it should be.Three players are not the whole team(Heat showed that this year). Why the hell are all of you so surprised about that?
Wed Sep 21, 2011 7:00 pm
Turkoglu pretty much sucked during quite the whole tournament. He had some bright moments but had also many lousy performances...
Kanter played a solid tournament but with very limited minutes. He can't carry a team right now (I doubt he'll ever do).
Turkey lacked a solid go-to guy pretty much. Ilyasova did not fit in that role, despite his (more or less) solid play.
If I take a closer look at the teams which will play in the olympic qualification (Russia, Macedonia, Lithuania and Greece) I have to say that those teams deserve to be in there. Turkey and Germany simply do not...

Hell I would. Of course, I would be mad at the guy, But not at its SKIN COLOR. Cmon, basketball is a game for everybody.
I dont really wish to argue with you. It is right that basketball is the love of the whole country for you. I will just say "Good Luck For Your Next Game".
Wed Sep 21, 2011 10:03 pm
Estonia could really use a C, but giving someone an Estonian citizenship is said to be a real bitch, since dual-citizenship is not allowed under our laws. There have been talks about 'adopting' some 6'10-6'11 guy for years.
Thu Sep 22, 2011 10:09 am
I am not against this "giving citizenship" subject. I don't see much difference between immigrants and naturalized sports players. Country wants them, their service, their skills, or whatever. In return players get to live where they are needed and feel special. It has been happening everywhere in the world not only in basketball but in soccer, volley ball, ping pong and etc. Globalization. Be against it, you are going back the time.
Cruzerr wrote:would you say "the black guy is amazing; I have respect for him" and be perfectly happy with the game?
No but I would say "The guy's amazing: I have respect for him" and be somewhat happy with the game.

NovU, yeah? Then I hope Macedonia will do USA. I hope McCalebb will drop 50+ points and will make Durant, Rose and Wade look like wimps. You'd be happy then, wouldn't you

?
Fri Sep 23, 2011 6:57 pm
Quit bitching. Basketball is still a team sport. If your team gets beaten by another team led only by one (naturalized) player, that means your team still sucks nuts.

Just put quick and tall defender on him and that will never happen...

Uros, we are surprised because we never had a Miami Heat style team. We are not based on 3 guys. We don't have guys that play +25-30 minutes like MILOS TEODOSIC. Everyone played except Sinan and Izzet. Even Cenk had more minutes. Also we don't have one leader, I think it should be Ersan or Enes.
If we would score the free throws then we would defeat Poland, Lithuania, France, Germany and SERBIA.
