Re: The Orlando Magic Thread

That's why I believed Heat players were more about winning than usual, despite the criticism for how the team was put together. It's rare to see players walking away from max contract these days.

Yeah, and it seems that Dwight Howard is much more worse than LeBron James if all in the articles are True :turrible:

Yeah, Dirk did the right thing in signing for less money with his new contract before the start of last season despite not having 2 other star players with him in Dallas and being 32 years old possibly the last contract for his NBA career.

Nets without Deron, Magic without Dwight. Which team is better?

I'd still say the Magic. The Nets might be close to setting a record for most Williamses on the roster though.

Yeah I say Magic too! Magic would still have Nelson, Jason Richarson, Ryan Anderson, Glen Davis, and more promising youngsters like
Daniel Orton, Justin Harper, Earl Clark.... And if Turkoglu comes alive like he did 23 points against Houston, Orlando will be way better than New Jersey.
But I'd say JJ Redick Q-Rich and Larry Hughes will be useless if there is no Dwight Howard.
Orlando wouldn't be a 3-point shooting team if it wasn't for Dwight Howard. So trading for Center Brook Lopez, who dropped his rebounding average
to just 6 last season is garbage trade for the Magic .

The Nets? They traded away too many talents to Utah for Deron Williams. Derrick Favors, Devin Harris and picks that resulted to Enes Kanter.
I dont think Humphries, Morrow, James ,and Lopez would lead the team to being a contender...

Any questions? then watch Magic VS Nets this thursday :D

JJ Redick a useless without Howard? I don't think so

just an opinion sir.... If Redick isnt shooting 3pointer he is defending much bigger and agile shooting guards.
He is a under-sized SG, although his defense improved last season.
If he adds more slashing in his game then he will be useful and deadly :D

Magic won over the Nets 94-78
MAGIC FTW (Y)

i like JJ runs in transition this season.. he only lacks defense.. he can hit big shots too
Dwight, Nets? Really? Deron? Okur? :|

Or before this Season's Trade Deadline :cheeky: (Y)

If you guys read the article and related links in it you would know that it's Deron possibly recruiting Dwight to the Nets and not the other way around.
Magic will be lottery bound once Dwight leaves so better enjoy every game you see with Dwight in a Magic jersey.

Re: The Orlando Magic Thread

Fri Dec 30, 2011 8:37 pm

I will enjoy Dwight's remaining days in Orlando as well as Deron's in New Jersey :P
Who knows what is in their minds or what did they discussed? I smell they will play together for sure.
But not in New Jersey nor Orlando :cheeky: Mark Cuban sacrificed Chandler and gave everyone else 1 year deal contracts.
It's rather Lakers or Mavericks, unless Stern would veto it again for "Basketball Reasons" .
They both could end up in Orlando if that's the case

Re: The Orlando Magic Thread

iirc Orlando does not have cap space for both Deron Williams and Dwight Howard.
Gilbert Arenas has a better chance of signing with a team and being his old scoring self again than the Magic getting both Dwight and Deron.

Re: The Orlando Magic Thread

Uh it's possible... they can sign Deron Williams first using Caps space after Dwight's Contract expires.
Then use Howard's Bird Rights to rejoin. It's possible if salary cap wise trust me I read it in the articles.
I'll link if I have time :D

They'll be over the 'hard' cap if they do that, which isn't allowed.

DJ Mbenga is KING with a RING

Injure Turkoglu on a purpose, qualify him for disabled player rule(cutting existing player's salary into half)!
more salary cap

Yeah I think, and they should have signed Micheal Redd instead of Larry Hughes
