Probably not, but the Rockets managed to have that amazing night with Artest playing poorly. If they play with the same amount of fight they did in game 4, and they win the Artest lottery, they'll take another game.

Aaron Brooks: Now I know why the Rockets easily traded Rafer Alston.

at the red suit and bowtie he wore during the post game conference.
Kyle Lowry: The Grizz traded the wrong PG, they're stuck with Conley.
Yao Ming: has he been hanging out with Shaq? During interviews, I can't understand a word he's saying because of the mumbling.
zanshadow wrote:T-mac less, now Yao less. But still gets a win. What a great team effort. It'd be a major shock if the Rockets move on to WCF.
I want a Boston-Houston Final.
Sasha Vujacic tends to bitch at every call that he doesn't get when he flops and when players go past him. It's not his teammates fault that he sucks as a defender.

I'd be so happy if the lakers lose. can't stand bryant. and some other people of the lakers are less than charismatic too. there's not a single player like that on the rockets. wafer might be a bit impetuous at times, but he's not nearly as annoying.
and this might be a bit late, but regarding kobe's elbow to artest. you can see kobe raising his hands to say I am innocent after it happened. now the only reason to raise your hands to plead your innocence is if you are guilty. if you hadn't done anything, you would't have to make an attempt to plead your case. it's the same in football. a defender pulls an attackers shirt to stop him from going on to the goal and raises his hands afterwards. if you are not guilty, you wouldn't raise your hands. I'm not saying it's always like that, but pretty often this is an accurate assessment of the occured events.

I think he was raising his hands to show the refs that he wasn't involving himself in Artest's confrontation so he wouldn't pickup a technical or get ejected.
Sasha is trash. Remember his defense on Ray Allen's championship sealing drive last year?

kobe started it and then he tries to play innocent. it's what he does, because he knows he can get away with it.
Tue May 12, 2009 6:10 pm
That's the only reason he could've been raising his hands? I'd say it's to show that he was doing nothing when Artest was in his face. Everyone knows he elbowed Artest mate.

doing something to show that you're doing nothing. ok. I bow down to your flawless logic.

It's up there as far as bold NBA fashion statements are concerned but as far as press conference performances go, I've got to give it to Phil Jackson for his blunt "Give them some fucking credit" quote.

I youtubed it up right after I read your post Andrew. Freaking hilarious.
Seems like he was annoyed with the reporter asking stupid question.

I don't know, it's a fair question, a little biting perhaps. If anything his answer suggests he was embarrassed and certainly frustrated with the loss. That doesn't make his bluntness any less entertaining, of course.

Oh ok, so he should punch him in the face if he's to show that he isn't going to get involved in a fight with Ron.

Scola is playing great. Adelman should give him some plays. He's quite a good scorer

Thought that might be the case Joe.

40 point ownage by the Lakers.
Houston 78 - 118 LA Lakers
Wed May 13, 2009 3:58 pm
I didn't see that coming especially after stunning Game 4. Hope to see Rockets bouncing back strong at home. Meanwhile, Denver should be able to close the series and wait for LAL to do the same, I assume.
Wed May 13, 2009 4:22 pm
Wow, Rockets trashed hard.
Wed May 13, 2009 6:47 pm
Great game by the Lakers, they bounced back in style. Hope Houston can do the same in game 6.
Wed May 13, 2009 10:05 pm
Yes LA. This is the game everyone wanted to see. They really responded, now look for them to end it in Houston thursday.

Lakers will win this one , obviously .
Most likely next game in Houston or back in L.A. !
But the Lakers will definitely win this series . . .
L.A. Lakers v Denver Nuggets in West Finals and that's Final . ( Period )

I still believe the Rockets can win this series. It's just 2 games. Where amazing happens. =D
