Surely, it can't go on much longer. The Bulls have had some decent chances to win it but the Celtics clearly aren't content to let it go to seven.

i smell ot4!
or not! wow!
Fri May 01, 2009 1:07 pm
This is fucking ridiculous. Another OT? Triple overtime? Ray Allen for 51 points with 9 treys? I definitely have to watch the replay, it's going to be freaking awesome. The Bulls finally won it, I was biting my nails after Rose missed both freethrows. We're heading to game 7!
Fri May 01, 2009 1:11 pm
Just, an amazing game
Fri May 01, 2009 1:17 pm
What a ride! I think that was another game where you don't win so much as you simply survive. If it wasn't already, I think this game has established the series as the best of the first round, or certainly the most dramatic. I'm hoping for a Bulls win in Game 7 needless to say, but whatever the outcome this series has given everyone their money's worth (so to speak).

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! It's 1 o'clock in the afternoon here, but I am going to start drinking! An absolutely cunting phenomenal game. This series absolutely deserved to go to 7 games. I went from wanting to make out with Derrick Rose to cursing his name to wanting to make out with him again in the space of 4 seconds. Damn NBA. Noah's steal on Paul Pierce and then going coast-to-coast for the dunk was one of my favourite things that I have ever seen ever. It's just..... can't believe it.

Hey, it's 5 pm somewhere...in this case Honolulu. Close enough for jazz, or in this case good enough for a cold one.

TO THE AIRPORT!
Ahh screw it. It's the start of May, also a good reason to celebrate. But seriously, just a brilliant game.

You definitely should start drinking to this one.

It's one hell of a game in what appears to be the most enjoyable first round series ever!
Cheers mate!

The victory, the start of May, the end of the working week, Friday night...reasons abound for a beer, my good man.

I'm drinking, and I'll say it's too that.
I hope there are a few more series' that are this exciting.
Fri May 01, 2009 4:12 pm
This has been the best playoff series I have ever seen.
Fri May 01, 2009 4:24 pm
This is the only game 7 so far in the playoffs, and has not been dissappointing.

[bias]The Kings/Mavs 2003 WCF Semifinals series was better.[/bias]
Seriously though, it's been an amazing series, more worthy of a conference final than a first-round series.
Fri May 01, 2009 10:34 pm
Greatest sereis in NBA history right here
Fri May 01, 2009 11:30 pm
You can't be serious about that one.
Fri May 01, 2009 11:51 pm
they are young and dumb, but it is still a good series
Sat May 02, 2009 12:26 am
It's gonna be pretty hard for Boston without Rondo for game 7.
Sat May 02, 2009 12:42 am
he hasn't been suspendedyet
Sat May 02, 2009 12:56 am
That looks like the NHL-Game its in the Game

but seriously, that Game is for me best First-Game ever

3-3

I've only been watching the NBA since 2000, so its the best series I've ever seen. Blazers/Lakers 2000 sounds like it was great, but I was too young to really know what was going on. Sixers/Bucks 2001 was fun, Kings/Lakers 2002 was when I really got into the NBA, but was marred by the worst officiating of all time, and Kings/Mavs 2003 ended with a minor blowout. Since then, only Spurs/Pistons 05 and Suns/(either LA team) 06 have come close until this.

AMAZING is a little word for it!!!!!
The best series of the last 5 years.
Bulls have many chances now.
GO BULLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And he shouldn't be. We were debating this at work if he threw a bow or not and if Rondo is dirty or not. I think it is good old school playoff basketball. Takes me back to my younger days of watching the bad boys when Laimbeer would closeline Bird and the Chief pounded his face in.
Sat May 02, 2009 11:04 am
Rondo wasn't throwing elbows but he pulled Hinrich's arm since they started boxing out to when he threw Hinrich to the scorer's table. Nevertheless that doesn't deserve suspension but it sure sparked up the chant "Rondo suck" which I particularly like.

Watching Rondo this series doesn't improve my impressions towards him and the C's at all.

I disagree. I think the whole concept of "playoff basketball" is overblown in justifying contact that would normally receive a harsher penalty. I can understand letting the teams play when the season is on the line but it really undermines the rules that are supposedly in place. More to the point, I think it's a good example of a double standard discussed in
this column, which actually talks about the foul on Miller in Game 5 but still applies as there were different rulings for Rondo on not one but two incidents, while Dwight Howard got the one game suspension. Putting aside the ramifications for Game 7 for a minute, if I'm an Orlando Magic fan I'm a little miffed even though they won their Game 6 convincingly.
I just saw a clip of the incident again during halftime of the Hawks/Heat game. Putting aside all bias, Rondo's thrown elbow was really no less blatant than Howard's, though Hinrich was a bit more "active" in the altercation which might have led to the league deciding not to take any further action. What's done is done, they're going to let them play. I think you can definitely argue for a suspension but I for one am just to going to let it be.
