some nice games coming up - the double header will be great!

i wish we had more spurs games though, we only had about 87 this year :(

Wow sweet Double header

Lakers @ Suns should be a good game, as will Lakers @ Sonics.

There were quite a few earlier this year though. Should hopefully be at least one in the playoff coverage.

omg... im bloody sick of west teams.. they piss me off! go sixers!

Fri Mar 31, 2006 5:58 pm

They do tend to be West-heavy. I have a feeling their Conference Finals coverage is going to be all West again.

Fri Mar 31, 2006 6:32 pm

works for me (Y) .....if they make it that far....

Fri Mar 31, 2006 6:39 pm

No matter how the Lakers fare in the playoffs, it's hard to imagine they won't show at least one Laker game. That's why I don't mind if the Bulls make the playoffs and face the Pistons. Sure, a quick exit but it will mean more Bulls games televised here.

(No, I don't expect everyone to share the same excitement at that prospect. :P)

Fri Mar 31, 2006 8:59 pm

I hope bulls dont make it to the playoffs, id much rather see Pistons beat philly in 4-games that Bulls in 5 or 6 ;)

How was the playoffs last season? I only got into the NBA at the end of the finals, so I missed it all :(

Sat Apr 01, 2006 11:36 am

I don't know that Chicago would fare much better than Philadelphia. Detroit destroyed them in two of their matchups this year.

The Playoffs were good, great to have coverage all the way through and they had some bonus coverage (showing the last few minutes of other games before the scheduled game began) but it was a bit West-heavy.

I never want to see Spurs, Lakers, Bucks or Sixers play again....enough already....how about Memphis or someone

Go away, then :P

I have a feeling we'll be seeing our fair share of Spurs games, even in the early rounds. :(

ah....no. philadelphia and LA haven't had that many games televised...but i agree about SA and milwaukee. even with bogut, its still annoying. you never mentioned detroit either.

Sat Apr 01, 2006 4:37 pm

yeh detroit was way too overplayed. 2 games were shown, thats just unspeakable

i like watching bucks play, so i dont mind about that. i just wish that bogut would play more, i get sick of watching Kukoc play instead of bogut

Sat Apr 01, 2006 9:06 pm

I hope the show the WCF finals again this year :D

as for the earlier playoff coverage whats the bet they show the Mavs Spurs series

Sun Apr 02, 2006 12:54 am

east playoffs should be shown more then ever, because now both wade and lebron are in, the two poster boys of the nba, then ratings would go nuts!!!! unfortunately, its all about ratings and thats why teams like lakers, spurs, sixers are on all the time... because everyone jumps on kobe, ai or duncan (and now aussie bogut)

i agree as a sixer fan that we're on too much, and that an even spread should occur, because im sick of the spurs being on twice a week lol

Sun Apr 02, 2006 1:25 pm

I expect we'll see at least a few games given there's big names in the East but I still expect there'll be more Spurs games than any other team...unless they get knocked out early. It'll be interesting to see who they latch onto then.

Sun Apr 02, 2006 3:55 pm

I don't mind seeing any team in the playoffs bar SA unless it's against Phoenix :P

Thu Apr 13, 2006 1:59 pm

I really hope they make a change to the game next week. Aside from the fact we don't need to see another Spurs game before the playoffs, it's against the Rockets who will be missing Yao and T-Mac, making it an even more unappealing matchup. I've got a feeling it will be shown anyway though and I'll watch it regardless, but I'd be much more enthused about a more relevant and exciting matchup to close out the regular season.

Thu Apr 13, 2006 2:06 pm

^^ You never know. Luther Head might burn TP for 30 points... and Sean Marks might get a career high in something!

Thu Apr 13, 2006 2:44 pm

yeah that last game is very unappealing. Anyways.....if they do show the Spurs, i only want to watch them against the Mavs. Pistons games would be nice, but probably won't get much unless they match up with Bucks or Miami. Fortuantely, Pistons fans will get to see their team play in the NBA finals.

I hope we don't get any Suns games, i'm not a fan of their game, i like it the grind it out style.

from a personal standpoint, if Detroit wins the championship it'd be nice for them to takeover and get the schedule that SAS did this season.

Maybe, but I'm sure they could still show a more interesting matchup, especially with a couple of teams battling it out for an eighth seed. Something a bit more interesting than whether the Spurs will end up with the top seed (likely, if it comes down to them beating the Rockets) or the Rockets will move up or down a spot in the lottery.

Im the opposite, I love watching games where the shotclock is just a waste of energy... it could be because thats how I play NBA Live, or maybe because its dam fun to watch high scoring games... but who knows

- I fell asleep watching Pistons-Spurs on Xmas day.. no disrespect to them but it wasn't my type of game. Stupid Chinese TV didnt show Lakers-Miami when Payton helped win.
