We'll get Allen or Lewis, unless they come very cheap, we can get both.

Wade and Bosh can rehab, last year's rotation is still there, so everything's fine.

Thought we'd see more of that. They did win the championship, after all.

i would be more concerned if they got camby. i still rather have terry next season over allen. allen is a better fit in miami than he was in boston so its a good move for him. pierce and kg dont draw attention the way lebron and wade do. allen will be open more often now maybe that will help keep him healthy this season?

At vet minimum, I would be happy with Rashard Lewis. And Oden or Camby would be even better as we really could use a size.

I am surprised you aren't upset with this so much. It seems a lot of Boston fans aren't on the same page with you but going MAD how all this is a treason to the Celtics Pride and all.

What I heard was that Rondo and him weren't getting along too well and the team trying to trade him last season didn't serve him too well. On top of that I think starting Rook Bradley over him and bringing Terry didn't help much.

Loved Ray Allen last night. He's gonna be great for us all season long.

What did you guys think of KG ignoring Ray before the game? And a dirty foul by Rondo on Wade.

KG is a bum. Didn't like that he ignored Ray. Without Ray he would probably still chase that ring...

Don't exactly love it, do understand it. KG's long been one of my favourite non-Bulls, though I don't care for some of the dirty stuff he does, especially when he tries to act innocent about it. On one hand I can appreciate that "with us or against us" mentality, the approach that Allen has moved on and now he's the enemy, so to speak. It's an old school attitude and not completely out of place. At the same time, they were teammates for five years, made two Finals series and won a championship together. A brief, almost formal acknowledgement wouldn't have been out of place. It's acceptable, but a bit childish at the same time.

KG on Ray
WALTHAM -- In his first press conference since the departure of teammate Ray Allen, Celtics center Kevin Garnett told reporters gathered at Media Day, "I don't have Ray's number anymore. I'm not trying to communicate with him. I'm just being honest with everybody in here. It's not that I wish him less than or whatever, it's just what it is."

Allen and Garnett both arrived in Boston prior to the 2007-08 NBA season, when the pair made a championship run alongside Paul Pierce. Garnett illustrated his loyalty to the Celtics, signing a three-year, $36 million extension.

"My No. 1 reason for coming back, obviously, was Doc," said Garnett. "Doc being here is huge. I enjoy playing for him. The guys, the city, the fans here are by far the best fans that I've ever been a part of, and all that stuck with me -- along with some family motivation and other things of that nature. ...

"You want to be in a position where you can still contribute and still give something. I don't know how Danny talked me into three years. I'm enjoying my journey here. I know it sounds lame and kind of cheesy, but coming in here, preparing, doing what I love, all those put together is why I'm here."

Meanwhile, Allen reportedly turned down a two-year, $12 million in favor of an offer from Miami worth half that value, and Garnett clearly took Allen's departure to the rival Heat personally.

"I choose not to [communicate with him]," said Garnett. "That's a choice I personally made. I'm very close to Ray, I know his family, I wish nothing but the best for him and his family, I just made the choice to move on. That's all.

"I'm focusing on J.T. [Jason Terry], Courtney Lee, the new guys that are here. ... I wasn't going to come here and answer a bunch of Ray Allen questions. I was going to obviously answer one time, and then focus on what's right here in this gym and what's present. That's where I'm at."

Hahaha. Quite opposite characters. I like both guys but I guess Ray is one of those guys that's really hard to hate wherever he plays.

"I wish him well, I'm close to him, but I'm going to passively aggressively cut off all communication." Again, his right to do it, understand where he's coming from, still just the teeniest bit childish on his part. Ah well, it all adds to the rivalry between the two teams that's developed over the past few years.

Yup. Good entertainment. Lolz.

I think it's also a KG's calculated move to act mean and tough. Sending a message to the Heat, Celtics, and fans. And also suits his image of post-Timberwolves rather better. I dunno why but I am more of KG-bias when it comes to the Celtics over 2 other Celtics superstars.

Even with the rivalry between those team this is something I don't completely understand. If I'm close to someone and his family I'd put friendship above rivalry. MJ and Chuck were friends even when the faced each other in the finals. Magic had a lot of friends along his longe time rivals and so had others.
To me it's just childish behaviour from KG.

Their teams over the course of their careers weren't rivals.

Making a big deal out of that is just the same as people making a big deal out of LeBron's supposedly childish antics (like not doing a post game handshake) in the past. It's just pathetic to even consider it.

It is a little bit childish, a bit of an extreme reaction to Allen's departure (in a passive aggressive sort of way) but that's just KG. While Allen is in a Heat uniform, he is the enemy.

Wade wasn't sure they should've played today. A lot of the Heat players must've shared those sentiments as they failed to show up, the Big Three really being the only ones to do anything positive. The Knicks were admittedly reigning threes all game long, but not Miami's best effort.

Ray lovable Allen. Great game once again for him. And... Bosh as well.

But the Heat shouldn't be giving up so many points against any teams. I am thinking the Heat tend to take regular season easy.
