One step closer to your vision for the team, Jeffx. Somehow I don't think you'll be as lucky with the rest of the roster though.

I think Mr Rose has lost interest in basketball, maybe the constant trading and all has made him uncomfortable. Look for him to retire very soon in my opinion.

Marbury plans to release the 'Starbury One' selling for only $14.98!

The sneaker hit the shelves Aug. 17 and is selling for $14.98 at Steve & Barry's University Sportswear.

Kinda late there

Marbury didn't sign an endorsement deal. Instead, he receives a commission from every Starbury item sold. "I am a trailblazer," he says. "I'm willing to do the things that others wouldn't do."

Portland, here comes Starbury.

Just a random fact that I need to clarify, did I hear on Live Steve Kerr said Marbury said that Telfair would be a better player in the NBA than him?

Thu Nov 02, 2006 12:08 pm

Just put on the game its only the 2nd quarter but they are looking alright, not great but not bad. They are hyping up Currys rebounding game a bit too much since Memphis doesn't have Gasol. The Knicks are making too many silly mistakes. And is it just me or do the unis look a little different, the outline on the letters and number looks brighter or something.

Knicks won in 3OT... Francis, Marbury and Curry all fouled out ... i guess thats one good thing with what Thomas has done, he's got loads and loads of scorers on his bench

Thu Nov 02, 2006 4:51 pm

Last year they would have just given up. I wonder if Jamals last second magic has worn off, he had like what 3 trys to win it?

Thu Nov 02, 2006 4:55 pm

Well, one thing to worry bout is letting go of a 19 point lead in the last quarter... wat exactly happened there?

Thu Nov 02, 2006 5:33 pm

Isiah Thomas is a genius.

Thu Nov 02, 2006 7:13 pm

wtf is Francis doing in Knicks.Isn't that obvious he and Marbury can't play together.
c'moon 2pts in 34 min. thats just pathetic :x

Thu Nov 02, 2006 7:34 pm

Francis needs to go. He's taking playing time from Crawford and Robinson.
Good news is that the Knicks have a good future with Fry and Lee. These 2 guys can really play. I really like David Lee. He hustles, and has a great work ethic. Any team would like to have a guy like him.

Yeah, Lee is one of the few bright spots on this CBA team. I believe he had 13 boards last night. That's what I'm talking about.

Fri Nov 03, 2006 1:35 am

Let the Francis trade rumors begin! You can't really have two guys that play exactly alike.. or 3.. or 4. Well I'll say 3, since Crawford doesn't exactly have to rely on his ability to drive, and get fouled which happens everytime in this league (how are the new rules gonna make the game more fast paced if someone takes a freethrow every two minutes?)

Fri Nov 03, 2006 3:18 am

David Lee is awesome. Doing the dirty work on the boards, and blocking shots. I just wish Curry had some of Lee's abilities on the boards night in and out.

Anyone seen Q. Richardson stat?
56minutes
31points
5-5 from 3pt range
9reb

not bad..

Fri Nov 03, 2006 7:26 am

It's great to be undefeated.

It was an ugly way to get there tho.

Fri Nov 03, 2006 7:32 am

Triple OT, damn, that must have been exciting. :!: :!: :!:

Fri Nov 03, 2006 7:34 am

It definitly was though the execution by both teams at the end of the OT's were horrific. It was their first game for the season and it felt like their playoff run against the spurs or something.

Fri Nov 03, 2006 9:30 am

gotta give some kudos to Curry for reaching double digits in rebouding and for not fouling on in 4 quarters (Y)

Fri Nov 03, 2006 12:41 pm

i would give Curry his props if the Grizz had an actual big man on the floor

Fri Nov 03, 2006 1:52 pm

Forget about the Knicks, did anybody see the play of Lowry and Gay? They were playing like they've been in the league for 5 years. Lowry is probably becoming my favorite player, because his hustle and defense is amazing. Warrick played a real nice game too with the exception of fouling out. It was a tough first game, but the Grizzlies never won their first game of the season since they came to Memphis. With the young guys Memphis have, they really going to be hell in a couple of years.

Forget the Knicks? HEY GET YOUR OWN THREAD! Lmao just kidding. Yeah Gay was really impressive, played like anything but a rookie out there, just wait til they get Pau back I'm expecting big things from them.

heh- tough crowd. so if he didn't get double digits in rebounding for that game, what would have you said?

Sun Nov 05, 2006 4:26 am

lmao I'm a New Yorker what do you expect? But I probably wouldn't have said anything, less than double digits is what I expect from him. I was watching the game and Walt Frazier was talking about how Curry's rebounding performance was impressive and that hes really improved, had it not been vs the Grizzlies, or if hes been doing it for more than just the season opener then I could understand. How about last nights stellar 2 rebounds? lmao
