If there's anything i'd like to see from Gordon it's not more scoring, it's contributing anything else other than shooting. He doesn't rebound, doesn't dish assists, doesn't pick off passes, doesn't shut down opposing SGs from scoring.

Ray Allen, Iverson, Arenas all do everything well, not just score. From assists to boards to steals.

If Gordon doesn't develop other facets of his game, he's better off coming off the bench to spark the late game, like his rookie year.

Aussie Bulls fans may be interested to know that Fox Sports have made the very uncool move of deciding to show the Suns/Mavs game tomorrow rather than Bulls/Cavs. (N)

Thu Nov 09, 2006 6:52 pm

We just saw the freaking suns today. I mean, it was a good game sure, but come on. I would be prepared to bet that theres more Bulls/LeBron fans in Australia than Suns/Mavs fans. (N)

Thu Nov 09, 2006 8:42 pm

That's what really bothers me. It's not that I don't enjoy watching the Suns but I'd obviously rather watch the Bulls and if that's not possible, the next best thing in my book is variety. Given that Suns/Mavs is a WCF rematch I guess you can't fault them completely for thinking it would be the more interesting matchup but still, it seems we're always assured a healthy does of Spurs, Suns and Mavericks games. It would be nice to see other teams once in a while and of course the more Bulls games, the better.

Oh well, not much we can do about it. :(

Wallace gets 10 offensive boards against the Pacers...he singlehandedly won that game for the Bulls with his post dominance.

Where is everybody that said Wallace is too old to play

Mon Nov 13, 2006 6:09 am

and the old man played all 48 minutes!

hey Indy- so much for O'neal owning Wallace. Big Ben had some key stops on Jermaine late in the 4th .

the bulls season can be summed up in last nite's game. at different times they looked impressive and other it was embarassing to watch. it was a very ugly game to watch

Noce gave much needed scoring/energy in the game :)

Mon Nov 13, 2006 6:35 am

That was a disappointing game because we outplayed the Bulls in every aspect except for rebounding. I was upset at the time of the game, but sometimes that's just the way things go. Even though it was a loss, I'm now convinced that the Pacers are a better team then the Bulls.

Tue Nov 14, 2006 8:39 am

lol ok guy.

we should have some kind of bet involving the Pacers and the Bulls

give me an email/PM if you're interested

The Bulls are probably going to be sloppy for a while yet. The roster is the most overhauled of all the playoff teams, the rotations are totally different. They're (as a surprise to me) incorporating the two rookies immediately into gametime. And plus Gordon always seems to start out slow.

I think we'll get a better view of them after the ASG.

Sun Nov 19, 2006 4:58 pm

BEN GORDON is MR. 4TH QUARTER.. He starts slow but in the mid season he will be playing better.. I think he's still feeling his game.. But it was a good thing also that they let the two rookies get playing time since those rooks have great potential.. TYRUS THOMAS can even play CENTER.. He's that GOOD..

bulls now 3-8 :( .....they were 0-9 before they got good last year. does anyone think that they will share the same faith

Fri Nov 24, 2006 9:58 am

The 0-9 start was in 2004/2005, though they didn't explode out of the gate last year either.

I'm definitely disappointed, I doubt you'd find many Bulls fans who aren't, but I don't think all hope is lost yet. They haven't fared well in November since the days of MJ and Pip but once they've sorted themselves out they've managed to rally the past couple of seasons (more successfully in 2005 than in 2006, of course).

Fortunately the current NBA landscape is very forgiving of their situation as there isn't a whole lot seperating a bulk of the teams in the league at the moment, particularly in the East. More than half the league is under .500 and only a third of the league has lost fewer than five games through the first 10-12 games of the season. Providing they don't take too long to get on the right track they won't have too much ground to make up to crack the top eight in the East, at least compared to the 0-9 start in 2005 or even the late run to qualify last season.

hehe, if this continues there won't be a need to swap picks with the knicks...then again the knicks are just as bad..

Not really. The Pacers have 8 new players. That's more then half the team.

Sat Nov 25, 2006 2:45 pm

Another disappointing loss, Ben Wallace with 0 points and 0 rebounds in 19 minutes of play. Not exactly the contribution I envisioned when he joined the Bulls but no doubt a performance leaving Pistons fans with a feeling of vindication.

Sat Nov 25, 2006 3:00 pm

Can't say, at this point, that i'm sad to see him go....especially since Rasheed is averaging more rebounds and blocks per game.

Sun Nov 26, 2006 8:46 am

Oh no another loss to make us 3 and 9, still a long way to go but some worrying signs though.

Sun Nov 26, 2006 9:29 am

Go Andres Nocioni!

Sun Nov 26, 2006 3:29 pm

What happend to Scott Skiles? I read the game recap off nba.com and said he was ejected for arguing with his own team?? What the hell could they be arguing about?

Sun Nov 26, 2006 9:09 pm

Ben Wallace and Scott Skiles already clashing.....didn't take long.

Sun Nov 26, 2006 10:41 pm

Thankfully, the streak comes to an end.

Good read here about the slow start and Ben's contribution.

I guess Skiles never really approved of the Ben signing. Why take out a proven allstar a couple of minutes into the game for something as silly as a headband? Ben should have taken it off if he know the coach had a rule against it, but why didn't Skiles talk to Ben man to man instead of having assistants trying to convince him? The Bulls really need Ben and Skiles to be on the same page.

On ESPN, it says he was annoyed about how he didn't know about the headband rule till after he signed the $60 million contract. I think it's stupid how he's getting paid to not wear a headband and complains about it. Equally stupid: the no headband rule. The end result is a stupid overblown news report about something so frivilous.

Wallace, meanwhile, might not be available for the team's next game on Tuesday night against the Knicks. The Bulls announced Monday that Wallace is day-to-day with a sprain to his right index finger and a contusion of his right wrist.

i smell something suss here, Wallace played through much worse injuries before.
