MJ? LeL... try Kevin Bacon the hollow man.

Looks like LBJ bandwagon has reached a new height with addition of Sauru. Too bad it will crash and burn like Blockbuster Video Shop stocks did. I just can't wait for excellent speech to come by Skip Bayless on LeChoke.

Kyrie! :( While I was rooting for the Warriors here, this is not how I wanted this to go down! No asterisks as injuries happen but the Warriors are extremely fortunate that okc and Cleveland's seasons were derailed by injury.

At least I won't lie to myself and deny it's my role here.

You've been through this btw, how did your ass feel when Ray dumped you and won himself a second ring. Let's just say I don't wanna experience that shitty feeling.

This.

I want the warriors to win but I wanted an epic battle not seeing key players go down to injury.

my ass feels fine as i in no way suffered from him leaving. i love watching basketball and the celtics are my favorite team but i do not get invested to the point where i feel hurt if they lose. you run around crying because lebron left poor wade, get over it. you sound like a fucking idiot

Bullshit. You literally made no sense with Ray back then. Get over your green fever first and call me names.

You can say the same thing about the Cavs. They're in an inferior conference. They are on a free pass to the finals.

Noah, Gasol, and Gibson were hurt in the bulls series. Korver couldn't finish the series. Carroll and milsap were hampered by injuries

Re: 2015 NBA Finals: Warriors vs Cavs

To be fair, the Cavs have been without Kevin Love pretty much the entire postseason. And while he wasn't nearly as effective this season as he was in the past, he still averaged 16 and 10. That's a huge loss as well. I think they would've made it to the NBA Finals regardless. And even though I'm a huge OKC fan, I think Golden State was destined for the Finals this year as well.

It's just a shame the NBA Finals will be without Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving moving forward. It's already star-studded, but it would've been even better if both teams had all their top guys.

I think the only way Lebron can win with a "big 3" is if he gets a couple of referees on board with his team.

Re: 2015 NBA Finals: Warriors vs Cavs

A few years back, Bill Simmons wrote a column that dismissed the idea of "asterisks" being a legitimate criticism, instead suggesting instead that some titles have "footnotes"; acknowledgement of injuries and other such factors, but taking nothing away from the championship victory.

Say what you will about Simmons, but I think that was a great way of putting it. Let's face it, if you feel like deriding a championship or someone's accomplishments, you'll find some arbitrary criteria that allows you to place an asterisk next to it. Someone was injured. A questionable call tainted the whole series, the referees decided it. They never had to face Player X. They never had to face Team Y. There was a lockout. The Conference is weak. They would never win in any other era. They never faced a dominant centre. They were just lucky. The media votes for the awards, and the media are all idiots. Someone else was more deserving. The league is soft now. The league was soft then. Expansion has watered down the league. That team was stacked with future Hall of Famers. He couldn't win it by himself. And so on.

At the end of the day, you can only play the opponent that shows up, and you still have to get the job done, even if you're the favourite on paper. While certain results may be unlikely, all NBA teams are capable of beating anyone else in the league on any given night: we see bottom dwellers and supposed tankers defeat championship contenders during the regular season. If you can make it through the grind of the 82 game season with a record that qualifies for the Playoffs, make it through three rounds in your own Conference, and then beat another team that did the same thing...you've earned that trophy, you've won it fair and square.

Even if the Cavaliers still had all those injured players healthy(namely Irving, varejao, Love) there is no doubt in my mind that the Warriors would still be a superior team. The Cavaliers had pretty crappy chemistry between those big 3 during regular season anyway. And also this has given opportunities for other lesser Cav players to step up and shine. That probably wouldn't have happened if they were all healthy. And we probably hadn't seen Mozgov/Perkins trade if Varejao was healthy.

So Cavs fans should stop whining like bitches about injuries. Cavs weren't gonna win anyway this year. The warriors this year were just superior in every regard.

Most logical explanation would be that he killed sauru and became him. Or Sauru was him all along.

LeBron pretty much having his way with Barnes, who isn't shooting particularly well at the other end, either. Perhaps Kerr should pull a Popovich, and start Iguodala.

Meanwhile...what a pass from Curry! A little low, but Barbosa still managed to scoop it up and knock it down.

LeBron's making things happen, Shumpert's had some good moments and Jones knocked down a three a moment ago, but in all fairness, the Cavaliers have no business being down only one by now. This certainly isn't the Warriors at their best, though Thompson is definitely feeling it.

Wow... James Jones unlikely hero stepping up and saving LBJ's ass this quarter.

EDIT: Did russians bribe refs? Call that junk pivot a travel. It's ruining the league ffs.
