We'll see about that. They're not looking too convincing so far, Philly won 2 of 3 games against them in the RS and honestly, I like the Sixers chances against the Celtics better than against the Hawks with a healthy Horford. Philly's biggest weaknesses are in the frontcourt and Boston is not exactly an unbeatable force under the basket either.

And Thibodeau should have saved a timeout for the final seconds just in case something like this happened. They had 2 seconds on the clock after Iggy's free throws. Hadn't they had to inbound from under their basket, they could have quickly created a shot after a timeout or at least tried to. Guess Thibs either didn't pay attention or got too confident that the Sixers wouldn't be able to come back to the game.

I feel your pain man. It's pretty much the same with Elton Brand (5 points, 2/9 FG in game 6). Well, at least Brand is a very solid defender, but that doesn't change the fact that he's grossly overpaid.

The officiating was bad that game, but not only for the Bulls. For instance, I remember Evan Turner picking up two very dubious fouls in about 20-30 seconds in the 4th quarter. The Bulls could have won, but with about 50 seconds left and a 4 point deficit, they inbounded it to Boozer and he lost the handle, letting the ball go out of bounds. In game 3, he could have put the game practically out of reach with a baseline mid-range jumper (the same kind he's been making all night long) with nobody anywhere near him, but missed. A true clutch ice cold killer, no kidding.
I still can't really believe the Bulls let game 6 slip. For all of the second half, the Sixers were not even able to execute a pick properly, threw up probably at least five airballs and everybody from the Bulls was getting offensive rebounds in bunches. Rip Hamilton got five offensive rebounds (yeah. Rip Hamilton. FIVE). In the 2nd quarter, the Bulls committed a bunch of ridiculously dumb fouls, for example Watson grabbing Lou Williams when he got beat off the dribble, he didn't care that Gibson was under the basket to provide help. They were seemingly flying at every pump fake, regardless of the Sixers' inability to make anything from outside. I also remember Boozer pushing a Sixer big under the basket when fighting for a rebound in the most obvious way possible and then being extremely surprised he got called for a foul. They should have won this game. They shouldn't have blown a 14-point lead in the 4th quarter in game 3. They shouldn't have stopped playing at either end in the 3rd quarter of game 2. They could have easily won game 4 also. They could have won every single game of this series. Ironically, in almost every game they got eaten alive in crunch time by a bunch of 20 to 23-year-olds + Iggy and Brand. Just a reminder, Rip has more games played in the playoffs than all of the Sixer players combined. The same goes for Boozer.
Oh yeah, Iggy. He finally reminded himself he can knock down a few shots every once in a while. And he did it when his team needed that the most. He even made clutch free throws even though he's turned into one of the worst FT shooters among players from positions 1-3 in the entire league this season, after being pretty solid at the line for many years. I'd love to see him do that more often.
