Main Bounce wrote:Well thats the kind of behavior you want to project I cant do anything about that

No kidding. Were you under the impression I saw you as some sort of therapist?

... you feel cool having that behavior?

What behaviour? Swearing occasionally, or choosing whether or not to respect opinions based on how logical and well thought-out those opinions are, rather than allowing people to justify anything at all with 'it's my opinion and you have to respect it'. The whole 'there's no such thing as a wrong opinion' is utterly false, because all opinions are at least to some degree based on facts and logic, and if the facts are wrong or the logic is faulty, the opinion is obviously wrong.

Not to mention, this isn't even an opinion thing. Either Dwight Howard is sandbagging the Magic, or he isn't. This is a fact, not an opinion. If he's not sandbagging the team, it doesn't matter how much you think he is, you're wrong. No amount of carrying on about how that's your opinion is going to make you right, and your ignorance of the facts in question means your 'opinion' is worthy of no respect whatsoever. It's really no different to having the opinion that the moon is made of cheese, or 9/11 was an inside job, or there was a second shooter on the grassy knoll, or any other number of whackjob conspiracy theories. If the facts in no way lead logically to the conclusion you draw from them, then that conclusion is worth no respect whatsoever.

Respect is earned, not given. The fact that you're capable of forming a thought doesn't make you worthy of respect. Everyone's capable of that.

People here are NOT DUMB enough to determine who or who does not post childish attitude statements

Quite apart from the fact that this sentence makes absolutely no sense, given that you seem to think being dumb helps with post comprehension, there is absolutely nothing childish about failing to respect everyone for everything they say. If anything is childish, it's the idea that everything you say and do has some sort of value. It doesn't. Value comes from the quality of what you say, not the fact that you can open your mouth.

Plus you are from Australia I see, not so good in representin my friend (N) I can understand if you live in the outbacks

I genuinely have no idea what you're trying to say here.

Oh, and earning respect?

The magic really should just trade him for what they can get. Otherwise he'll walk for free and they'll be the next cavs.

Trading Howard to the Nets gets slimmer after signing Humphries an 8-9 million deal, and now a Brook Lopez injury!!!

This is too funny.

Main Bounce wrote:I cant believe u have the time to write all this

That took approximately two minutes. It's basically nothing.

you think I will read your senseless junk?

I see. You insist I respect your opinion for no reason, but won't even bother to read mine because apparently two paragraphs is just too long for you? Is there any way at all in which that is logically consistent? Either I'm not bound to respect your opinion just as you're not bound to respect mine, or you are in fact bound to read my entire post in order to respect my opinion. You can't have it both ways.

LISTEN UP!!! Shutdown your Computer get out of your HOUSE and GET A LIFE!!!

Again, that post took all of two minutes to write. Why the fuck are you here, if you think it's such a waste of time?

or in short go out in the wilds and catch some snakes or crocs. :cheeky:

Is this meant to be funny?

What do you know about the NBA old man "CROCODILE DUNDEE"?

It's completely hilarious that you seem to have vaguely heard one thing about Australia, and act as though it's true of everyone in the country thirty years later. Of course, given your love for small sample sizes, this is hardly surprising. In related news, a study recently conducted in my house found that 100% of the world's population is male.

As for what I know about the NBA...plenty. How much specifically would depend on whether you include knowledge about basketball in general. Most of this knowledge was gained by reading, something you appear to be averse to, so I'd be surprised if you knew nearly as much as I do.

Yeah but I think it still puts the Magic in looming future in losing Howard.
His list is down now from 4 to 3 (Mavs, Lakers, and the Magic).

Here is better news... Deron Williams to join Orlando instead of a garbage trade for Howard

Yeah I definitely agree with that. In the last 3-4 years these are the only teams have a finals appearance, Lakers, Celtics, Mavs, Miami and Magic!!!
So it will make a lot of sense if you would join a finals team than a Finals team's superstar Bandwagon another mediocre or worse team except for the MONEY, but this isn't Dwight's case. In fact, he would get more MONEY if he stays with ORLANDO!!!
Even if Dwight joins New Jersey, the rest of the team is mediocre which means a championship is still questionable.
Unlike Orlando, they still have J-Rich re-signed, Glen Davis acquired a average PG Jameer, and promising young guys like Ryan Anderson, Earl Clark, Justin Harper Daniel Orton etc... Except the biggest liability Hedo Turkoglu.

Plus when the Nets move to Brooklyn Dwight Howard would pay State Taxes more expenses etc... something that everyone would consider even Billionaires!!!

So if Dwight requesting a trade to go after the ring.... He shouldn't join New Jersey.
He would make his chances of getting a ring slimmer there, plus more Bills to pay.
I think Mavs or Lakers is much more realistic of a ring, or better stay with the Magic and win a Championship that would be sweeter.

My opinion is Dirk's ring is much more sweeter than 2-4 rings that LeBron would have with Miami.

Radioman wrote:I thought they both join the Lakers next year.

I dont think they have space to do that.... they have to make Dwight and Deron sacrifice money like in Miami this time much much CHEAPER like 8-11 Million each due to Kobe's 24 Million contract alone. And if that happens, Say HELLO to Lockout #3 under Stern's Belt.

:xmas: MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE :xmas: :chug:

Re: The Orlando Magic Thread

The way I see it, it's like the girl you want to dump but the girl wants to continue to make the relationship work. Pretty soon, Orlando fans are going to bitch how Dwight's a dick and all that, while Dwight becomes one of the players on hated players list.

Not that Orlando doesn't have any chance at keeping him a Magic but seems like a long shot with what they got. Orlando's team performance in early season will be pretty important or I can envision the Magic eagerly trying to get whatever possible in return with Dwight to Big Market trade.

Re: The Orlando Magic Thread

Mon Dec 26, 2011 9:34 pm

Recently when Dwight Howard requested for a trade, he gave the font office a short list.
This inlcudes the Lakers, Nets, and Mavericks. Any Bulls fan here? wondering why Dwight didn't put the Bulls on his list?
The Main reason is the ADIDAS endorsement deal. Howard's contract with ADIDAS will expire as well after this season.
Let's face it, Derrick Rose is the FACE of ADIDAS much younger, and no need to mention youngest and reigning MVP.
Two of the Biggest contract and faces of ADIDAS is unnecessary, they pay athletes who are in the Spotlight who rivals against other
team's superstar that's how is the business endorsement trend. If Dwight joins the Bulls, he will lose his appeal with ADIDAS and will receive a much cheaper deal due to Rose as the leader of the Bulls, especially Dwight trade request to join other teams doesn't help at all.

And as one high-ranking sneaker executive says, “Adidas simply cannot have its two signature players on the same team in the same market. … Derrick is the face of that market, owns that market, and Adidas can’t possibly have maximum bang for its buck with Dwight there.

“It serves Adidas no purpose. They need them as rivals in competing markets.”

Howard knows this, too. He has an Adidas renewal on deck in the next year, and Los Angeles and Brooklyn guarantee him maximum money.
http://www.iamagm.com/news/2011/12/25/r ... ponsorship

I thought Dwight was only concerned about winning and chasing after rings? but who doesn't need MONEY anyways? :cheeky:
