Bynum's out

And the Lakers will still win.

Yes...but without kobe they'd be dead in the water. Without bynum they've still got a chance....though slim.

Wishing opposing player hurt, no good. Both team have enough talent, if team win fair, game more interesting. No?
Fri Jun 06, 2008 12:19 pm
not looking good for boston in the first half, kobe is not even doing that great yet. need paul to step up and the entire celtics team actually play some dfense
Fri Jun 06, 2008 12:31 pm
Thats boston's problem....offense. The 'yet to be big three' can't all seem to have a big game on the same night
Fri Jun 06, 2008 12:36 pm
nice 4 point play by pierce but i agree with you green, they are more like the rotating big 3, 2 show up at best
Fri Jun 06, 2008 12:47 pm
Welp..if paul peirce becomes MIA ..boston's championship might just have went up in smoke unless we can see the old Ray Allen.
EDIT : Peirce came back and those double three pointers were fucking bananas!
Fri Jun 06, 2008 1:18 pm
I think Boston might win, Lakers lost all their momentum
Fri Jun 06, 2008 1:48 pm
Damn; the Celtics take Game 1. Come on LA, win the next 4 so my prediction is true!
Fri Jun 06, 2008 1:51 pm
So bad..

Boston take the first one

I am really feel sad, but c' deserv it.. They played awesome deffence..

Good game anyway.. Lets hope in sunday Lakers will be in better shape..
Fri Jun 06, 2008 1:51 pm
Great game. It's safe to say Pierce is the heart and soul of that team. To be honest with you, I thought that once he got injured and the way they carried him out, he had a torn ACL. Boston fans sure were on the edge of their seats when that happened...
Fri Jun 06, 2008 1:55 pm
Lakers fans really shouldn't be all that upset. Its only Game 1 (on the road) and its not like the Lakers won't be better next year (unlike the Celtics, who will regress).
Fri Jun 06, 2008 2:01 pm
Thats the ticket...put the celtics down to make yourself feel better.
Story book game....thats all i can say.
Fri Jun 06, 2008 2:04 pm
Was it only me or was Tony Allen mistakenly labeled in the TV broadcast as Brian Scalabrine during the player introductions?
Fri Jun 06, 2008 2:06 pm
He was. I lol'ed.
Fri Jun 06, 2008 2:09 pm
what an insult
Games 2 & 6 will be the most important of the series because the Lakers have home court in 3, 4, & 5. The Celtics could lose it as easily as the Mavs in 06 if they don't take care of home court.

I hope you don't mean, that losing this year doesn't hurt if you know you will have a better team next year, cause that's non-sense. Nobody, never likes to lose, despite any circumstances.
As for Game 2, I think it could be like Lakers-Jazz Game 6. L.A. jumps out to a big early lead and slowly, but surely opponents comeback, but can't finish the job in the last minute of the game. Prediction:Lakers prevail in Game 2.(BTW, what about Perk's injury)
Fri Jun 06, 2008 2:17 pm
Go Lakers!
Fri Jun 06, 2008 2:26 pm
gAME 2 AND 5 ARE ALWAYS CRUCIAL TO ME in the Finals
Fri Jun 06, 2008 2:29 pm
Before the game started I wouldn't have thought that P.J Brown would be one of the biggest reasons the C's were gonna win this game. Age means nothing.

I was about to lol also but I thought my lack of sleep was creeping in on me when I saw that so I had my doubts. Scalabrine probably paid some of the TV guys, that sneaky bastard.
Paul Pierce and P.J. Brown FTW!

Why was Odom on the bench for so long in the 4th quarter? I completely forgot about him until he checked back in about midway through the fourth.
And whattup with Gasol? I don't remember him creating his own shot the entire game. The only scoring he did came off pick and rolls, which for some reason they went away from in the 4th.
Can't believe Doc left Cassell in there as long as he did. Even when he was making those shots in the 2nd quarter, they were bad shots. And we know he can't play defense...so if you're not going to play Rondo, why not put in House? Spread the defense a little bit. I saw Cassell miss two or three open 3's...House would command respect from downtown, and if they don't give it to him, he'll drain it. I don't understand why Doc doesn't give him a chance.

I hope the lakes liked there free ticket to the finals. Now if they want to win it has to be for real.
Fri Jun 06, 2008 4:08 pm
Still not over the Conf. Semis, huh? I understand.
