Are you sleeping with Jason Kapono or something?

Tyrus Thomas says only in the dunk contest for the $$$. Tonight against the Kings, he's all alone on a fast break and goes up for a dunk......oops, twists his ankle. Poetic Justice.

Did that really happen? Karma...
I also reckon Kapono will win, highest 3FG % in the league, hardly misses
EDIT: Apparently AI isn't playing in the ASG now... Hopefully now Melo can replace him and Camby can replace Yao

Not only is AI deferring to Melo, he just might give up his spot. That way Randolph has a chance.

Too good to be true (even thoug I was starting to hope for him cracking his skull open against the backboard while attemting a Cedric Ceballos-dunk).

Bit hard to do that saying this is convincing that he could see.

I can't believe the Bulls traded for this dufus over taking Brandon Roy.
And how the hell do you twist your ankle on a solo glide to the basket?
Sat Feb 10, 2007 8:21 am
Yeah, we really need Brandon Roy! There's this guy, uh, Ben Gordon, ever heard of him?
Sat Feb 10, 2007 8:38 am
LMAO, I lol'ed so hard, man. Sucks for him.
Anybody thought Stern had anything to do about it? I was expecting James White to appear with a chair between the crowd and start hitting Thomas.

The 6'0" SG who shot 3-16 while Kevin Martin dropped 29 points when the mediocre Kings blew the Bulls out? The guy who can't guard any of the league's SGs so Hinrich has to switch over & defend out of position every game?
Yeah, i think he was offered for Pau Gasol.
Sun Feb 11, 2007 9:12 pm
That same player is also averaging 21 ppg on 45% from the field despite being primarily a jumpshooter, scored 30+ in back to back wins over last year's NBA Finalists and more than a couple of times has come up big in the fourth quarter. He's not without his shortcomings but if we're going to judge every player on one bad game then Hinrich, Deng and Wallace could also be dimissed as easily expendable players. As far his job security is concerned, the latest rumour is that Gordon is off limits and the package for Gasol is Deng, Brown and Nocioni.
In any event, let's keep that for the Bulls thread as this one's for All-Star Saturday.
Thomas' comments were very disappointing, kudos to Paxson for letting him know that kind of poor attitude isn't welcome. I'm hoping he'll still compete but if he is removed then he's only got himself to blame.

Yeah I was real excited when I heard Tyrus was gonna be in the dunk and I hoping he's still in it, but def. his fault if he's not and better be a lesson learned either way. All about the money...makes me wonder why he wants to be in the NBA. Maybe Girffin should talk to him about appreciating just to be in the NBA.
On another All-Star topic...Nash won't be playing in the Game nor will he participate in the Skills Challenge. Predictions on who might Stern select to replace Nash? Maybe Ray Allen or Chris Paul? Also who might replace him in Skills? Do you guys know if Stern also chooses who replaces Nash for Skills? I would like to see Hinrich but I highly doubt it'll be him. Maybe have Chris Paul get a chance again or Jason Kidd.

The league invites participants for the All-Star Saturday events so I'd assume Stern will select his replacement. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Paul is selected as a replacement for both the game and the Skills Challenge.
