Not the start to February the Bulls or us Bulls fans were hoping for, but a little recognition from the league: Gordon was named East Rookie of the Month for January, while Skiles was named East Coach of the Month. (Y)

great win over a quality team like dallas at dallas. (Y)

the victory ended the dust this thread was collecting and more importantly the bulls 3 game losing streak . any win they can get in this current 5 game road trip is a bonus since they're not expected/favored to win any of these.

the win should give them some confidence and momentum heading into tomorrow's matchup at houston, who are playing pretty well as of late

ok this thread has been going on since December and just keeps going on bulls talk. I think it should be 'the bulls thread' like some other teams have here

Haven't posted here for a while as I've been away for a week without any knowledge of what was going on in the NBA. Great to see they're still around .500 and in the playoff picture, though the distance between the Bulls and the 8th seed has shrunk a little.

In a related observation, the record of 72-10 is safe for another year. San Antonio and Phoenix could still reach 70 win seasons, but they'd fall short of the record and it's highly unlikely they could go undefeated from now until the end of the regular season.

big win on the road over minnesota (Y)
too bad the game wasn't televised in chicago :x

hehe i don't want to be like andrew and make some kind of analysis by looking at the box scores

the radio announcers mentioned that KG is playing through a knee injuryk, that the fans were booing, and at times mchale was in way over his head several times in his coaching decisions/pleading with the refs

next game at home vs sacto, their 1st home game this month

why can't tyson chandler be a better scorer? does skiles not want him to become a scorer? he was scoreless (but he did the more important things in rebounding, 11 boards, and def., 2blocks)! i want this guy to become a 15ppg-er! his development on the offensive end has surely deterred ever since skiles became coach. (N)

gordon is raping everyone, but he's extremely streaky (as our his 3 rookie mates, deng, nocioni, duhon). i guess skiles has abandoned on the development for him to become a combo guard and strictly as a scoring option.

tyson can't be a better scorer because he doesn't have the skills as this point of the career: poor footwork, not strong enough to play on the block, moves awkwardly when he has the ball.

his offensive development hasn't necessarily deterred in skiles tenure... the coaching staff is putting him in position where he can focus more on his strengths: rebounding, defense, hustle, blocks.

but he has developed a halfway decent 15-20 ft shot

i too would love chandler to be a legit scoring option for the bulls. but right now, he's doing a great job doing the dirty work and not having to worry about scoring

as far as gordon goes, i think skiles is doing a good job. he's not abandoning gordon's development: gordon's strength is scoring so they're taking advantage of it. he does have some point guard skills but they remain unpolished and he's turnover prone.

and you have to keep in mind that the bulls are fighting for a playoff spot, so some of the development is taking a backset to winning ;)

wow.. nice win over the kings. it was a fun game to watch... peja and tyson were out. the bulls definitely could have used tyson for this one... brad miller is awesome. his game has come along very well. he killed whoever guarded him. that's one guy i wished the bulls kept

gordon is becoming what the bulls wanted crawford to be: a clutch performer/go to guy who can hit shots at a good percentage (Y)

regardless of what happens against toronto, it will be the first time in ages the bulls finished above .500 heading into the All star break :o 8-)
