Yeah, it's just Kobe agreeing with Phil that they need to get everyone involved from the start so when late in the game and they need someone other than Kobe to shoot the rock... someone else will most probably be in some sort of rythym. That plus the fact that the Suns don't have any bigs so the Lakers can get Kobe to help set up LO, Kwame and others to work down low. This is why Phil Jackson is a great coach... He's such a good communicator with his players. I was sort of surprised that Kobe bought into this actually.

Either way, the fact that Bryant can contribute to LA this way and the team can still win really adds a lot mroe value to him! If he can keep this type of play up... the MVP trophy might be coming his way next season. (Y)

EDIT: Yo Brad Feet, back in singapore aye?
EDIT II: Also... how badly does Kwame miss his layup and hook shot?

Koolness Brad.. and yeah, I'm hoping we take game 4 as well.

Another question to add on... Did Smushy really take down Tim Thomas? And how'd Thomas get injured?

Hmm ok.. i thoguht i read that Thomas and Walton got tangled and Smush took him down...

Walton got tangled up with Suns forward Tim Thomas, who was eventually wrestled to the ground by Parker.

What happened was Walton hada hard foul on Thomas that sent him to the ground. Thomas gets up and Smush Parker is in his face and people gather around. Kobe comes running in and hits Diaw, who hits Parker, who hits Thomas.

And somehow, that was worthy of a technical on Diaw. Very odd call and one that could be rescinded as far as the record books and the standard fine are concerned but shouldn't have been made in the first place. In the end though, it was only point.

I cant believe I missed the game. Oh well.

Great win for LA. I am not making any further predictions but I am beginning to feel alot better about this series.

What really funny nowadays is that I actually look out to see what kinda numbers Kwame is putting up. This guy is really making a difference down there for LA. Lamar also but its not as unexpected.

Kwame has to be one the biggest dudes in the League - that guy is a rock, bigger with every game passed. Given his performance in the past weeks, I full expect him becoming a 14 point, 8 rebound man next season.

I'm finally getting to watch the game (replay on espn) and its very clear how the Lakers are handling Phoenix. Even when they are leading they try not to push the ball too much. As a result it gives Phoenix less time and opportunities to catch up during the course of the game. they also realized they dont need to be nice to Steve Nash the same way PHO doesnt have to be nice to Kobe. Bump him the same way you bump other guys.

Oh well, I am itching for game 4.......wait, I think thats my medical condition.

Oh Lord, this game was amazing! Just watched the highlights on ESPN. Lakers are having great team spirit right now. Kobe vs. Nash is just awesome and interesting, and Kwame's elbow on Diaw was just AWESOME! Just look at that stare on his face...

Edit: Oh and I can't believe 3 of the 5 starters had double-doubles for Lakers! Me <3 Lakers more than evah!

Ah yes, I just saw the highlights. I would have to agree with you guys on how Diaw would get a tech... beats me. Anyways... It didn't look like Smudh taking guys down, more like a whole bunch of them falling over.

And with Kwame... damn, he's pretty huge. Liked how he looked down at Diaw :) That's right Kwame... be confident! Seriously, he's gotten a hell lot more confident with his game- great to see!

And with Nash-Bryant arguing... I could imagine when Kobe pointed at Nash:

Bryant: You stole my MVP bitch. I'm gonna beat you to show who's really boss!
Nash: It's cause I'm white isn't it?

The craziest thing in this game is that of all people Luke Walton had the most shots for LA. Luke Walton?!

This laker team reminds me of a college team right now.. Only Phil Jackson and the looney world of Zen could justify this whole situation.

shows how good of a coach Phil is. Hopefully those talks of him coaching the best players cease after this.

Yep... as much as people might give credit to Kobe for being a leader, Kwame for playing as good as he can and Lamar stepping up, Phil deserves a lot of the praise. This guy is amazing, just working with practically a similar team to last year's Lakers and getting them to play this way. Brilliant. I guess Kobe really learnt to be quiet about Phil and try to learn from him! (Y)

With all those emotion, X factors and unexpected things coming out of the blue, they are putting a lot of drama in this series and this got to be the most entertaining one in the first round. (Y)

I think this is the year when Phil proves that he's the best coach of all time and it isn't even close.

Jordan had way more than just leadership over Kobe. Better defender, better scorer, better rebounder, and better dunker

i think Michael Jordan was Bruce Bowen, Kobe Bryant, and Steve Nash put together. Kobe is as individually skilled on the offensive end as Jordan was, but he doesnt have the leadership or playmaking or involvement skills that Jordan had, and he isnt as much of a lockdown defender.
