NBA on Foxtel/Aussie TV 2013/2014

one question, i just checked my the hd guide on the tele and it shows HD demonstration up until the superbowl. Maybe they have got to update it still? I'm fucking hoping this new deal isn't something Queensland miss out on, christ wouldn't that be a tease.

Dude if your HD channels show the demonstration's that's bad. Where i live there's always a show on every HD channel never a demonstration, but when i was up in Horsham they always had these demonstrations. You dont get half the stuff you should...

And it's live CMJ. Monday morning games are ABC Sunday afternoon games in the U.S...

Anyway watched the first half before i left for school, it was no different to watching a game on ESPN HD, cause it was ABC on ESPN with the same commentators (JVG etc.)

It would've been live, all the games were early ones today (or yesterday, US time).

Picked up a cheapo HD set-top box for my LCD since my LCD is a few years old & doesn't have a TV turner in it)....might catch a little bit of NBA tonight, but I'm more concerned about Boston-Lakers game on Friday....since I work like most people, I'll probably catch the replays more than the live games....but still sweet to get FTA NBA

Still no change here as far as I can see. It's still listing Ten HD rather than ONE.

Finally we got NBA on FTA TV. I'm am very very pleased. Woke up and switched on the telly at 8 am and there it was, Boobie Jackson getting hot and getting Cavs back from a small deficit with 7 quick points. Ah well... looking forward to Friday.

It appears that only the HD channel is available here in Newcastle for the moment.

They are indeed. I don't know if it's the first time ESPN Australia has picked it up but it's the first time they've done it since I got Foxtel in 2004.

Anyway it's gonna be funny seeing how much every ASW event takes up in my Foxtel planner when i record them all in HD...

Dunk comp, 3pt, skills challenge, shooting stars?, horse, all star game, rookie game, celeb game...

They probably won't show the HORSE contest as it's going to be shown during Inside the NBA.

Why? Aren't you getting the games on your Ten HD?

I'm still not getting it either. From what i read a week or so ago, those with Southern Cross Ten shouldn't expect it to magically appear anytime soon. Turns out seeing as Ten has already bought the rights they thought they might as well get there moneys worth and show this season on whatever channel possible. I guess they have temp thrown it up TenHD, while the rest of us Southern Crossers have to wait till April or whenever the ONEHD channel is supposed to kick in.

It doesn't bother me much provided we do get that ONEHD in a few months, but man.. what a tease. I'll have to make do with ESPN for the time being, i think it's the Jazz and Lakers tomorrow?

Lakers/Jazz was a pretty good game indeed, great performance by the undermanned Jazz. They definitely dodged a couple of bullets at the end though.

Haha he's alright. He seems good on Scrubs, but if you watched it you would see he isnt that great. Still a legend though, was watching some of Season 4 just before

Seems he hasn't shot well in the celebrity games to say the least. I remember Bill Lawrence talking about a particular scene requiring about twenty takes because Faison kept missing a shot he was supposed to knock down. Rather than getting frustrated at the number of takes, Lawrence said he was amused because it meant they got to rib Faison about his basketball prowess, as he's supposed to be pretty proud of it having played some college ball (if I recall correctly).

Saturday Feb 28th: Cavs/Spurs @ 1:30 PM
Thursday Mar 5th: Spurs/Mavericks @ 1 PM
Saturday Mar 7th: Cavs/Celtics @ 12 PM

I expect the two Cavs games and possibly Spurs/Mavericks will be the better of those contests, though you never know what might turn out to be an exciting game or whether someone will do something noteworthy, like LeBron's big game against the Knicks.

I was gonna post to see if anyone didn't realise about the Double Header this Saturday, but it seems you've got in under control...
I'd love to watch them both, but i doubt i can watch either with all the study i need to get done this weekend. What i would like to do this weekend: Friday night go out, Saturday; sleep in till NBA and watch both games back to back , Sat night watch A-League Grand Final, Sunday study, until basketball in the afternoon, then more study after. But realistically with the amount of homework i've got/SAC's to study for it'll be Friday night go out, Saturday study till A-League Grand Final, Sunday Study all day till Basketball.

I'll record both matches and watch em when i get a chance
