Neither but the third wheel.

SkyLine03LT wrote:Miami needs to change their offense down the stretch and trust their role players more instead of isolating wade or james, because we all know isolation is not gonna work well against the Celtics.

Unfortunately, we can't. We've been winning and losing with the hero ball for last 2 seasons and it's the only way we know how to play the game. Let's just hope their shots fall more and run the court more. I don't believe Spoeltra will be able to come up with a new offense scheme now, even if he does it will fail. He's a motivator not a great x and o guy, which he doesn't need to be with Wade and Robin anyways.

No. Not as in entire league's third wheel best player. Not batman nor Robin, but Alfred the butler.

You can't get anything for Bosh, and he's a big and as has been shown in these playoffs is important to the team.

LeBron is the best player in the league.

Gotta trade the guy who throws his body around recklessly, fights with the coach, assaults opposing players and doesn't get back on defense. There are teams out there to con. I'm sure the Knicks would like a guy with a ring. Maybe Kobe wants another guy on his team to bitch at refs without getting back. Denver might send some youth for a star!

Wade is also the oldest out of the three at 30. LeBron and Bosh at 27.
Gotta trade Wade while he still has some value while the other two are still good for 3 more years at least.

Trade away Wade and you have Cleveland Cavaliers all over again. The Heat at least didn't get swept in last year's finals because and only because of Dwyane Wade. Without Wade you have nothing to counter the choking machine that is LeBron James and level the field. That kind of team is doomed to fail for all eternity.

All joking aside, what could they possibly get in return? Gasol? McGee? JR Smith? Lin? No thank you.

Re: 2012 East Finals: (2) Heat vs. (4) Celtics

I had a feeling the Celtics might take this game when I saw, towards the end of the first half, that they're shooting 30% FG and are only down by 5 points or so. Bosh's return must be a good thing for the Heat, but it should be noted that in this game he had a +/- of -12, lowest on the entire team. What's puzzling me is that for most of the game the Heat are trying to find James in the post, relatively close to the basket or play picks, both create a decent look more often than not. But in the 4th quarter, all they do is play isolations for Wade and James. Am I the only one who thinks that's really stupid and has very little chance of success against the top defense in the league?

Not only have the Heat lost the HCA and are now facing elimination. They dropped a game in which Wade wasn't downright sabotaging the team in the 1st half, that's been very rare for him lately.

Clutch threes by Pierce and Pietrus, way too many mistakes on defense by Miami and the Celtics are now very close to the finals. Garnett is arguably the best player of the playoffs impact-wise.

It was an emotional day that time. Seeing those modern warriors who sacrifice their health and bodies to entertain us up close and personal was just too much for me to handle that day.

Lacking coordination, Heat might need offensive coordinator
I actually agree. Spoeltra needs to quit being a Wade's bitch and be a smarter & tougher mentor to be able to teach X and Os to the team. He would have no business as a coach if it wasn't for his daddy who made his son a Pat Riley's bitch. Bitch needs to be fired foremost if anything goes wrong here.

Shocking to say the least. Never thought Miami would be in this position - they were out-hustled, which is inexcusable. I'm not writing off Miami or San Antonio yet. If they can take it to Game 7, I think both will win.

Already I'm hearing & reading that Miami should break up the Big 3 if they fail this season. Bullshit. What they need to do is surround the Big 3 with a better supporting cast. Can you imagine how dangerous Miami would be with Steve Nash at the point? He's the established, veteran presence they need - someone who can tell the stars, "I'm running the offense - get to your sweet spot and I'll get you the ball."

Problem is they already wasted a bunch of money on multi-year contracts for Haslem, Miller, Battier, etc.

They should have stocked up on youth like the Spurs did instead 33 year olds who can't run with LeBron and Wade. But Riley would never do that, young players are evil.

I woudn't call it a waste of money. For one thing, they took less money than they would have made on any other team, but they're also productive, especially for the money they make. Battier is a top level defender, Miller seems to be shooting well, at least last few games, and it's unfortunate about all his injuries, but shit happens. And Haslem has been his usual- heart and soul of Miami Heat. So when you say waste, I say good bargain. They can still get Steve Nash with MLE and steal some rookies in the draft like they did with Cole.

All that trade away talk is retarded. Same with New York. It's ridiculous... Jordan and Pippen played together for 4 years before winning a championship, Wade and Lebron only been together for two. Melo and Amare played in about 96 games together.

but they're also productive, especially for the money they make

lol no. $12+ million a year for guys who are eighth, ninth and tenth man quality. AT BEST.
Battier is a top level defender

The current year is 2012.

Shane Battier playing 30+ minutes a game is a big reason why this team isn't in the Finals already.
So when you say waste, I say good bargain.

Yeah, but you're apparently Pat Riley.

No, they can't.
and steal some rookies in the draft like they did with Cole.

Great steal there, dat PER under 8. 45% scoring in the season, 40% in the playoffs. All while bringing nothing of value to the table!

Shane has never played defense with his athleticism, he uses his skill. If anything, his skill is even better than before.

You are forgetting a fact that he's only a rookie and a 28th pick at that, and has shown promise to develop into a decent point guard.
