Stay classy Miami.
LeBron should be suspended seven games.

Dexter Pittman did a Bynum on Lance Stephenson.
Wed May 23, 2012 2:55 pm
What happened? Loving the victory but...
I missed the game. Looks to me Granger got injured and Hansbrough wacked Wade and got retaliated by Haslem. What did Lebron do? And what did Dexter do on Lance?

WTF is this anti-Heat thread or something? Oh boo-hoo you guys. It's not like he hit a little girl. You guys since when did this become a sissy league? It was a dirty play nonetheless but he didn't get hurt, so don't you think it's time to stop whining about it you guys? You guys I'm not agreeing that foul is dangerous as some people make it out to be.

Pretty stupid thing to do. Stephenson is lucky that he didn't hurt his knee on the landing too.
Wed May 23, 2012 7:46 pm
Wow... Pittman. That was one fucked up thing you did to that kid. Come on, there was completely no need for that especially at that stage of the game. Now the Pacers will look to pay back at their home, and it's uaually Bron or Wade that get to pay the price. We already had our enforcer Haslem to make a statement in this game. So there was no needs to go over-do it and especially that elbow was dangerous. Funny grin didn't point out that Dexter himself fell to the ground while the victim Lance was still standing up, this time really choking and holding his neck. Perhaps, Dexter learned how to fall for no reason from Wade.

Lolloloool.

If it wasn't a basketball game Pittman would be charged with assault lol. That was straight for the jugular. Literally.

That's the way to exaggerate!

Very well done, shadowgrin, congratulations!

Hansbrough did nothing in my opinion. At least he hit the ball first.
Thu May 24, 2012 12:21 am
I am not so sure about that. He did something in my opinion. Somebody was bleeding.
Thu May 24, 2012 12:26 am
He hit ball and then followed through to hit Wade's head.
That Pittman foul was BAD. Stephenson's lucky he isn't badly hurt. That was every bit as bad as what Metta World War did to James Harden. Pittman fully deserves to suspended through the next round.
Thu May 24, 2012 12:42 am
He should be banned for life, and LeBron suspended for probably ordering the hit and starting this whole thing with his attempt on Granger's life in game three.

I actually agree. His action was premature and irresponsible.
I have to say Stephenson somewhat has became unfairly a target to the Heat and the media. He did apologize for his mistake and I think that should have been enough. I like how Lebron and Dwyane didn't make too much of a deal out of it. But if Pittman's action had anything to do with his choke gesture, that just was unnecessary. Juan Howard also made a move that was totally unnecessary. It wasn't his place to be teaching the other team's player about the respect no matter the age difference or experience. That was a jerk move regardless, both to the kid and his team.
Overall, this series just has been more than about just playing the game. The Pacers brought we-r-just-as-tough card and wanted to make a statement like Granger said and did. The Heat responded to it, and definitely not in the most classy way. As a Heat fan, I am just glad that Wade and James were able to remain relatively healthy throughout this ordeal.

Hope Pacers play better next game.

Heat's Haslem suspended for Game 6.Pittman gets 3 games suspension.
Thu May 24, 2012 9:51 am
Seems fair to me. While Stephenson could stand to lose some of the cockiness until he does something of significance on the court, there's definitely no call for that. Haslem's suspension is a little iffy in my view, but not entirely unwarranted. That'll naturally hurt the Heat in Game 6 a lot more than Pittman's suspension, which Woj suggests was
orchestrated by Pat Riley. He's probably got a point.
Granger's injury was just bad luck, an all too common mishap in basketball.

As a Heat fan I was hoping for Haslem to get a free pass on this one as he is extremely important to the team though that was clearly a dirty foul and obviously came in the retaliation of Hansborough's hard foul on Wade. Hoping this one won't be too costly. However he deserved a suspension and that's no brainer.
I agree with Woj that Lebron didn't get much of protection spirit from teammates like this with the Cavalier. Lebron also became more responsive to hard fouls against him and showed higher level of frustrations to dirty plays as a Heat. Wade I think has been like a big brother to James and has been a morale support for Lebron this entire time I think. Both Bosh and Lebron became more cocky ever since they became the Heat. Wade I think set the tone of toughness for the Heat, which also fuels the motivation and hunger to win.
As for Stephenson, I almost feel sorry for that kid. He's just a 21 years old kid that made a very very small mistake, perhaps not even a mistake as making a mockery based on bias against an opposing team's player is really nothing new. But he has been caught up in this physical and verbal war between the two teams and paid the price heavily. Good to know that he's ok though. However, on the good side, everybody knows who he is now.

Cocky, since when?

not 2, not 3, not 4... but not even 1 and zero possibly.
Thu May 24, 2012 10:56 am
Uhhh, it would be just sad if the Heat didn't ever win witht he Big 3. With the injury to Bosh and SA's run this may still not be there year though. Fair suspensions IMO, if it wasn't for the Bosh injury Pittman would problably not even see playing time and like Andrew, I'm half-and-half on the Haslem suspension.
Thu May 24, 2012 1:12 pm
pittman should at the minimum be out this season. the nba needs to be much tougher on obvious attacks on players
Thu May 24, 2012 1:16 pm
Haslem got 1 game, Pittman got just 3. The league wimps out again.
