It would've opened a portal to another dimension. It would've sucked in everyone and everything on the entire planet and we would've been transported to a world where distance no longer exists and time is standing still. Therefore noone would ever be able to grow older, women wouldn't be able to get pregnant and the burden of eternal life would've slowly but surely turned everyone crazy until they would kill themselves... Rightfully so, they've gotten out of hand. There's still plenty of stuff that can be done with the ball, variations on old dunks, combinations that put a new spin on things and stuff that can be done off of lobs. A gimmick is alright every now and then, but I for one didn't like the path the contest was heading down with all the props.
