Late in finding this, but Patterson has been assigned to the D-League.

So far, we have two wins in a row! Andrew's Bulls are next!!!

They're not quite as dominant as the Bulls of my Dynasty threads though. ;)

I can't believe that the Rockets even drafted Patterson, they knew tha the would get no play-time with injured Yao and Scola there.

Yeah, wasted talent if you ask me. But with so much depth at every position, especially the forwards, there really wasn't much the Rockets could do in this draft.

They couldve traded the pick for a first rounder and a decent bench guy

A 3-point loss to the Bulls. We spoke too soon.

I was also annoyed by the pick, but more due to wanting Milwaukee to pick him one spot later. Guy can play ball. Bucks needed a starting PF. Instead they threw big money at Gooden

Scola's great though (Y)

Replay killed us. I'm a bit surprised they decided to review made baskets though. Someone on the Bulls side must have spoken up. (N)

OKC tomorrow, ugh. This doesn't look good. Anyone missing Brooks yet?

AB's absence has us lacking a decent shooting point guard. We need Brooks' ability to jack up threes and make them. :)

When's Yao coming back, anyone know?

Why wouldn't a made basket be reviewed?

Because it seems like Lowry got it off in time that no one would make a fuss about it, unfortunately he didn't and the replay showed that he was about 0.0001 seconds too late, which in turns lost the Rockets a game because it took away 5 points. :( Correct calls by the officials though and have to respect that.

But the question remains, why wouldn't they review a made basket? One of the goals of the instant replays is to determine whether or not a shot that goes in should count or not, so of course a made basket is going to be reviewed if the situation calls for the instant replay rules to be invoked.

Rockets picked up a great win over the Lakers today, Battier was spectacular in the clutch. 15-4 run to close out the game.

Yep superb win (Y) They were losing by 12 with 2 mins left in the first half, a quick 11-0 run and then went to battle... nice game by Battier.

Should've watched the game. Still, good to see them pick up a win against the reigning champs. The Lakers don't look good atm. :D 4 straight losses against teams they should've been able to beat (maybe except the Jazz).

Phil Jackson is not making fans in Houston

Asked if he thought Tomjanovich was deserving, Jackson said, "We'll see. I'm not on that committee. I like all the coaches to get a chance to go in."

Jackson agreed with the argument that the Rockets' championships were tainted because Michael Jordan was out of the league for the first of their title seasons and much of the next.

"Definitely," Jackson said. "Without a doubt. Clearly, if the Bulls were whole, we would have won. It's pretty much registered by now. When Michael played, we won the championship."

I'm torn. On one hand it's not very classy, I say give credit where credit is due. Rudy T is also currently working for the Lakers as a scout, so you'd think Jax would afford him a little more dignity. On the other hand, I like the suggestion that the Bulls would've kept winning had MJ not retired the first time so I feel compelled to agree with him.

Meh, he's just bitching because his team is playing like shit right now. Like you said, give credit where it's due, move on with life and focus on telling your team not to play the way they've been playing.

I wouldn't say bitter. He's got more rings than any other coach in league history and I'm sure he's confident that the Lakers will rebound, as they have started to do by ending the losing streak against the Kings. He just has a tendency towards arrogant remarks because of his impressive body of work and he loves to stir the pot.

Yeah, those accomplishments get to him at times, but that shouldn't worry the Rockets, we picked up a good on-fire win against the Grizz. 69% from three, that's nice. (Y) Kyle Lowry has really stepped up in AB's absence, career-high 28 points, with 12 assists. :D

Also found an injury update. Yao can possibly return next week. Hopefully he can stay healthy for the rest of the season.
