you guys make some valid points (especially the FGM argument) but i dunno, it's still pretty close and it comes down to personal preference to me.

it makes for good discussion. in a deep league like this i could see how Paul could get picked first. it is easier to build a team when you draft PG first.

look at doobie's team. he ends up with Durant (only SF this year). a flurry of PG and FC's in the next round until his next pick. he picks Horford (solid pick) but then surprisingly picks another wing player. i would have probably went with Westbrook

i'm not sure why you nabbed Martin but it could have been:
Chris Paul, Marc Gasol, Joe Johnson/Monta Ellis
vs
Durant, Horford, Monta Ellis/Westbrook

i think i'd give the first team the edge...

i think kmart will return to his sac days under adelman. especially with brad miller coming in, they'll definitely help this team learn the offense. plus, with yao playing less minutes, it's gonna be up to him to carry the load offensively, with scola and brooks as the supporting cast.

joe... i put on my exclude list. new coach larry drew seems to be getting away with what made the hawks a bad team at times last season. 4 guys watching joe/jamal dominate the ball. this will take assists away from jow and help horford/smith owners.

monta would've also been a good pick there.

like i said earlier, blocks the the only thing cp3 doesn't do, so pick up pretty much any non-perimeter 7 footer with him and you got a great nucleus.

Belinelli's got 12 points in 4 minutes right now. Looking like a good trade for you Q.

i really like the potential of hansbrough though. i drafted him in another league, so i'll be happy if he does well too. rumors of indy looking into brandon bass doesn't help tyler, though.

i think rotoworld reported belinelli was the frontrunner for SG 2 weeks ago and recently thornton is in the doghouse...

not sure about ATL offense yet. Josh Smith has looked pretty terrible in the last 2 games i've seen. he's taking long jumpers again. was that a pick n roll i saw with JJ and Horford?!!

lol jsmoove is so useless when he shoots jumpers. when i lived in vegas, it pained me cuz i won a lot with the hawks and watching them on league pass... i would scream (along with the fans at Philips arena) when he would take those.

and i saw the 2 preseason hornets games on nbatv... let's just say when they get to the bench, a willie green/thornton combo is terrible. they can't create their own shots nor create one for someone else. terrible. they wind up dribbling too much, going one on one and either taking a bad contested shot or turn it over.

Hornets fans now feel the pain Sixers fans felt when Willie Green is on the court.

Austin Daye is starting to look like the starting power forward for the Pistons this season, and he started there again on Tuesday.
He hit 4-of-9 shots and a 3-pointer on his way to 10 points, four rebounds, an assist and a block. Daye is a great looking super sleeper late in your draft, and is a power forward who can score, rebound, block shots and hit threes.

speaking of the Hawks. saw the TNT game tonight and good lord the starters looked bad on offense. smith back to taking jumpers (I guess he doesn't have woody to rip him a new one once he gets back to the bench anymore) and their new "motion" offense looks like last year's iso offense except instead of isolating and taking a contested shot, they swing the ball around the perimeter to the other side and iso the guy on the weak side. it's terrible.

yeh still they won the game... which felt like a playoff game

Daye capped his impressive preseason with 22 points (9-of-17 FG, 3-of-7 3pt, 1-of-2 FT), six rebounds, two assists, and a steal in Friday's loss to the Grizzlies.

Recommendation: Daye started five of the Pistons' eight preseason games, and appears to have the starting gig at power forward locked up for Opening Night. He has the ability to contribute in points, rebounds, steals, blocks, and three-pointers. He's still available at the end of drafts and is a great sleeper pick.

The Detroit News confirms that Austin Daye will start at power forward on opening night.
This is old news, but it's nice to see confirmation. Daye has huge upside as a threat to join the elusive one block/steal/trey club. He's well worth a sleeper pick in Round 10 at the very least. Daye will be joined in the starting lineup by Rodney Stuckey, Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Ben Wallace. Charlie Villanueva isn't worth a draft pick as a bench player. Here are Daye's final preseason numbers: 15.9 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.1 treys, 0.9 blocks, 0.8 steals in 28.1 minutes a night over eight games.
