Touche.

Honestly I don't like the Magic's chances. All the Lakers have to do is to put Dwight on foul trouble and contain the shooters.

 Somebody really voted for the "Lebron is crying right now" poll option. And it's leading!

Can't wait 'til Friday (Philippine time) to see the NBA Finals. For CS9 here in the Philippines viewers, I believe it would be Mico Halili and Quinito Henson that will do the play by play.

Kobe is stoppable. He's from planet Earth just like each and everyone else. If Kobe is unstoppable then he must hit every shot he takes, well that's not the case here so he is stoppable. He cant be shut down completely, he'll still make a lot of shots but when he have to earn those points that's when you know you're playing good defense on him.

But thats when he gets those 40 point games

I wonder why you guys are taking this seriously. This line was just taken from the Kobe-LeBron puppet commercials.

He's right find it on youtube MVP's Kobe and Lebron,

Id rather watch it on BTV, Oakrhum and nice to see that there are other pinoys here other than mikeman

If that's the case then I'll vote that option too. I bet he's vastly disappointed with his not-so supporting cast. They've been terrific in that last game but that was far too little, way too late.

11 people so far has voted for Lebron Crying Now and still counting. Where did all seriousness go? :shake:

I don't like the Magic's chance either. But I think it's noteworthy that Lakers lost 2 regular season games against the Magic. In the first meeting, the Lakers lost despite of 41 point game by Kobe, and in next one, Howard was great with 25-20 performance, so maybe......

i think the magic are a good enough team to win, they just need to play the game, keep howard on the court, and do not let anyone not named kobe hurt you. if kobe wants to drop 50 thats fine, hold the rest of the team to 30 and you got a W

however i would pick the lakers to win if only cause its the last thing i wanna see happen

That will definitely win them the finals. It's a simple question to ask, also. Who would you rather guard? Kobe Bryant or Sasha Vujacic/Shannon Brown? Pau Gasol or Josh Powell? Lamar Odom or Luke Walton?

The same applies to the Lakers, though. If they stress on Howard too much, the Magic have alot of players who can hurt them.

I would rather have the "old" guys like Andy Jao or Ed Picson.

Now I get it why Sprewell strangled Carlesimo, he got inspired... maybe you mean motivational coaches? Not all of them got that loudmouth approach though and it's more common that nagging and yapping coaches tend to irritate players rather than motivating or getting them inspired (example given above)

If anyone's going to shut down Kobe, Pietrus will probably have a shot at slowing him down but that's it.

As for the Magic, if they had Jameer Nelson, I would have said they have a decent chance of winning. Right now though, I think they have a slim one. But I don't see LA losing this one... push comes to shove, worst case scenario: 7 game series, Lakers win.

I'm picking Lakers in 5. Just to be confident. This series is most likely going to 6 though.

Quinito Henson always cover the Finals for Solar Sports. So expect him to cover again. Andy Jao would be a good choice.

According to Mico Halili's Facebook, yeah, he'll be the one going. He didn't really said that but Chino Trinidad commented on his post congratulating him because he'll cover the Finals. Quinito, It's not yet official but he's been the guy who's covering the Finals for years now so most probably, he'll be the one accompanying Halili.

I like Mico, he knows a lot of the NBA and he's a funny guy too plus Quinito, he's been doing a lot of NBA ever since I was a baby. Even way way back NBA on GMA7 days and before that. So I think he's credible enough.

So did Phil Jackson, they're in the Finals aren't they? And according to you, Phil even has the right players.

And I doubt someone who has nine championship rings doesn't have the brains in comparison to Stan.
Phil already has the "brains" for the job based on his experience, and he also has the "players", according to you so what makes "Orlando Wins Coach Match-Up"?
MikeMan™ wrote:and Mouth ( remember him when he told Dwight to go grab the ball in that Boston-Orlando Series ? )

Coaches having a "mouth" isn't exclusive to Stan Van Gundy. Coaches tell off their players when they're doing something wrong or they want to accomplish something. Phil Jackson does it (to Shaq, Kobe, MJ, and Pippen), Larry Brown does it, Gregg Popovich does it, etc.
Even Phil told Jordan to pass the ball (I think that was the 93 Finals) and for Kobe to have a better shot selection on the floor (in Kobe's early career).
So tell me, what makes Stan stand out with the "Mouth"?

Gregg Popovich doesn't shout to players unless they're doing something wrong. Even Phil Jackson shouts at his players (forgot what game that was).
May be you're mistaking Stan's need to shout because of his voice.

Stan has less talented players ( than Cleveland ) and still reached The Finals , I doubt that if Phil coached the Magic he''ll reach as far as this .

That's a misconception because the media hasn't yet given enough hype to the Magic players to be noticed in comparison to the Cavs league leading win season.

The Magic has the most dominant center today, two of the best shooters in the league and one of them is clutch, they have a versatile swingman coming off the bench that can score and defend, a decent rookie that's good enough to be a starter, two decent backup PG (Alston and Johnson), and bald guy that is more than capable to play as evidenced by how bitched the Sixers during the elimination game. The Magic have more than enough talent.

MikeMan™ wrote:Oh , I thought he was shouting , I never knew that , that was his real voice .

He has a naturally hoarse voice which makes it less audible that's why he has to shout most of the time.
