i got it. i thought of a trade that works perfectly. ok the blazers trade thier number 1 pick to the celtics. in return the celtics trade them our first pick, second pick, danny ainge, and doc rivers. deal?

Fri May 25, 2007 10:19 pm

Fuck No!

Fri May 25, 2007 10:23 pm

ok ok i will even throw in a box of girl scout cookies, your choice

Fri May 25, 2007 10:25 pm

I will take the number 1 pick thank you. But you can throw in those girl scout cookies for free...

Fri May 25, 2007 10:28 pm

I all seriousness i think that would be a terrible deal if the Blazers where to get rid of that 1st rund pick i would expect nothing worse then A McGrady, Bryant or Shaq type player becuase that is What Durant and Oden will become although if the Celtiics were offering Pierce, Doc Rivers and 2nd round pick for 1st pick and Miles that could work

Fri May 25, 2007 10:31 pm

I still wouldn't accept. T-MAC, KOBE and SHAQ are all too old and the draft pick for this year is more valuable.

Both Oden and Durant will be 2 of the greatest players to play the game. And Aaron Brooks

why would you make oden a power forward?

I dunno, like Donatello i just think he'd be better suited to Power Forward.. It doesnt really matter, Aldridge or Oden at Center, its still gonna be a killer line up.

Sun May 27, 2007 8:52 pm

nah, you need Oden at centre, closing to the basket defensively....you don't want him guarding the likes of Nowitzki & Garnett who stray to the perimeter....you want him guarding the Duncan's, Amare's, Shaq's, Bogut's, Yao's & so on....

I wonder if Oden will start from day 1 or not....I've got a feeling he might be 6th man....Zach Randolph is obviously starting PF....I'd have Oden in front of Aldridge though....great 3 bigman rotation though :P

Sun May 27, 2007 10:50 pm

i would give oden the start personally and try in the off season to trade one of the other 2 bigs they already got, maybe try to get a good point to get the ball to oden.

Mon May 28, 2007 1:31 am

Yeah, Oden would start. I don't think Aldridge has the frame for a centre, the guy is an absolute twig.

What? Oden is the first true Center we've had in the draft in years.

Mon May 28, 2007 7:12 am

thats why he should play the 3 indy

Mon May 28, 2007 5:04 pm

Ok ok, you've made your point.. Thats actually the first time i'd thought of putting him at PF, rather than C anyways, but you are right, he is a C

Mon May 28, 2007 6:15 pm

Yeh i think Oden If he gets drafted to Portland should Play C with Randolph at PF because still i am not convinved that Aldridge is good enough to be a serious Starting C although if he were to play PF (in which case Randolp would go for a good PG) then they could have a good side (Y)

Mon May 28, 2007 6:22 pm

if they can get a deal they can't refuse for randolph in the off season i'd say go for it (i don't see any team pushing that hard for zach though... ). but there is no harm in waiting, i agree - i get the feeling that albridge isn't yet consistent enough to handle full time minutes, and he could still get his off the bench as the first option off for the 4/5. it would probably be better off for his development. and no one really truly knows how good oden or durant will be right away either. it seems safer to keep zach around until the trade deadline and just see how things play out.

Mon May 28, 2007 6:33 pm

Yeh thats true because it might be that Oden Needs a year to get acustemmed to how things work in the NBA and he might not have 1st year "Dominance" like players have in the past, Then Wait for the trade Deadline when Aldridge and Oden are ready to take over with the help of Roy

Mon May 28, 2007 10:28 pm

or he could be another olakwandi :D hey ya never know

That's just a very, very poor plan, and an even poorer spelling of the word accustomed. Oden was NBA ready after he finished his Senior year of high school. He would have gone number 1 last year. Now he has a year of college under his belt, unlike most of the players as good as he was in high school. You throw Oden out to the sharks. You have to know what you've got right away. You can't baby a guy like this. Just let him flourish.

Tue May 29, 2007 5:49 pm

Oden has to start. The team would get soooooo much abuse if he didn't get much playing time!!! 3PK, he will not need to get accustomed to the league. Have you ever watched him play?!?! He is a freak! and yeah I agree with Indy, the spelling of accustomed is terrible lol.

1st of all i don't care about spelling words right it gives me no concern what so ever so stop bringing that up especially u scoop. Now regarding Oden Being ready i know he's body and gameplay is ready but do you seriously think soemone who has played one year of college which first of all is nothing like college will be ready and you have to remember this guy has still got a very un-developed post skill set. I know he is ready as well as many other players but don't put too much expectations on him why not give him 10 games to get used to the gameplay and differerance in the college vs NBA game. (Y)

BTW- Yes i have seen oden Play on many occasions in fact if i know about any college player it's him :D

Tue May 29, 2007 7:25 pm

3PK, He is one of the most NBA ready big-men in the league. I admit his post skills could still use some work, but his defense is bloody awesome! He is more NBA ready than Durant. Just face it, he will do well immediately in the NBA.

Yes he probably would make an immediate impact but if he was allowed to develope he's game first and get his mind perfectly attached to the game then he would make more of an impact and your the one always disputing Aldridge is such a great player so wouldn't you prefer to see if he can handle the rains for the first couple of games then bring in Oden.

Tue May 29, 2007 7:55 pm

3PK, He will develop while in the league, I don't care if he doesn't make an immediate impact. He will play great defence as soon as he enters the league, I will guarantee that. Also yeah Aldridge is good and I want him to get some good playing time, that's why I keep saying that we should trade Randolph for either a good SF, PG or Atlanta's number 3 pick. Then Aldridge and Oden could share the C and PF spot. So there, I have it all figured out....

Well there we go now i got it thats all right, we kinda both are right that means because then my arguement of Oden needing imporvement is true and ur arguement of having him start is true now we just need to seriosuly think does anyone want Randolph that would give up a high quality Pick, SF or PG then ur plan would work (Y)

Glad we are on the same page. I really don't know who randolph could be traded for.....Maybe some ideas from other people??
