I'm so pissed off at the fact I missed the draft. I've been waiting for this for a long time, and now I'm stuck with a handful of players that I probably wouldn't have picked. Though, I admit that I have a few good players, it's just... not the same. At least I'll probably get a trade offer from Jae regarding Andrew Bogut 8-)

I'm very pleased with my draft. Here's my team, for those that aren't in the league but are interested.

G-Dwyane Wade
G/F- Paul Pierce
F- Antawn Jamison
F- Al Harrington
C- Marcus Camby
G- Richard Hamilton
G- Tony Parker
F/C- Nenad Krstic
G- Steve Francis
F- Udonis Haslem

Flite thinks he's a slick guy. Offered me Richard Jefferson and Zydrunas Illgauskas for Paul Pierce and Krstic.

yeah I have a glut of assists, could spare some for more stls/blks.

Sun Oct 29, 2006 5:34 am

oh and forgot the best round.

Jugs with John Lucas III

I got a steal in Kevin Martin.

With the exception of injury-twiggy (Camby) and Francis, Indy has a good team. :o

Camby was the best fantasy player in the NBA for the first few months last year.

I took Francis in the second to last round, I'd say that's a DAMN good pick.

Sun Oct 29, 2006 7:37 am

You're right about Francis.

Keywords right there. Then he'll disappear because the injury-bug bit him again.

I would have to agree on the Francis pick. Talk about upside.

I don't know how retarded the draft CPU is, but why would they take Raef LaFrentz in Round 10? He amounts to exactly nothing.

Eh, you're probably right, but I'll take what I can get from him for as long as possible, and then I have no problem starting Krstic when he's injured. I think, Krstic is going to have a good year.

Sun Oct 29, 2006 9:06 am

Damn it Indy, I didn't post that. You could have at least quoted properly. And you call yourself a mod. :shake: :P

Sun Oct 29, 2006 6:23 pm

Indy, I am slick. So slick that I tricked you into not accepting my offer, because I know Richard Jefferson will go for 40/15/10.

Seriously though, it should be a rule that you have to accept that trade, because you stole like 5 of the players I was wanting to pick just before it was my turn. Wanker.

eg. I was eating, taking my time, thinking Krstic was still on the board. I was looking round for him and must of missed that he was taking by Indy the pick before... I keeped searching, then I froze as the clock ticked down to zero. I ended up with Bobby Simmons. (not bad but I needed a big man)

Sun Oct 29, 2006 6:44 pm

I got a steal in Kevin Martin.

Wanna swap K-Marts? .

nah. I don't think your K-Mart is even worth giving up a Wal-Mart.

Mike James is on my trading block. Sam Cassell, Carlos Boozer, and Ray Allen are also possible trade considerations. Andrew Bogut is reserved for Jae.

Mon Oct 30, 2006 5:29 pm

Cwebb, I want Dwight Howard. You wanna work something out?

Tue Oct 31, 2006 6:23 am

dude, why is the line up adjustment locked except for sundays? thats not cool. (N) daily line-ups are more fun.

To keep it challenging, but I wish I knew about that "rule" beforehand.

Same here. For those who didn't know about it, that's pretty stupid. I feel kind of scammed since I paid money for this and my first week is gonna be a flop. Fucking hell.

Hell, I don't even know how to play  Never done a fantasy NBA season before, I know how NFL works, but I can't see how the same principals are used in the NBA... Is it each matchup lasting a week and the winner is based on their teams totals that week or what? Wither way, I want Dwight Howard off cwebb :|

you got it right there

i was under the impression that everyone knew the rules before we started?

everyone seemed so quick to say when they wanted to have the draft, yet didn't bother to mention what settings they wanted

Wed Nov 01, 2006 9:05 am

I didnt bother writing up what settings I wanted, because I had no idea what I was doing  Anyway I like my team and can't wait to see LAL vs PHX...

cwebb you wanker:

Amare + Bobby Simmons for Dwight Howard?

Would you consider it?

Wed Nov 01, 2006 9:19 am

I can't speak for everyone, but I was under the impression that the league was similar to last season, where we can edit our rosters anytime in any day. I had no idea that there was even an option to change that.

Thu Nov 02, 2006 9:53 am

ah well. sorry, cy. perhaps maybe matthew could have posted the settings.. i don't know

the last nlsc league that did make it through the entire season (coincidentally ran by me hehe) was in fact a weekly lineup league and had pretty much the same settings. i don't think you were around though

myself- i did ask him about the scoring system/league format and gave some suggestions as well

i'm not trying to single you out, however, i'd like to reiterate Matthew did start this league over a month ago and left it up to everyone to suggest what they wanted in this thread... only Q-baller mentioned something about the settings

and hey- looks like you got the right lineup in for this week anyway ;)
