I don't think Riley minds who gets the last laugh. He's too old and accomplished to care.

They'd wind up overpaying for some d-leaguer/bench player.
Lol seriously? Sorry Lakers fans. The big fish again did not want to come there so they blew their load on an average player at the stroke of midnight.

That or eBay seems like a more productive solution.

I'm sure Riley didn't wanna get stuck in a Kobe situation where a guy past his prime ties up way too much of your cap space.

Javale Mcgee signs with the Warriors.
As much as I hate them, that's a really good pickup for them.

I thought he was just given a chance? Like training camp or something like that?
Sat Jul 30, 2016 4:36 pm
He is Kevin, it's just a camp deal to compete for a roster spot.

Like Anderson Varejao, he's been sent there to bring them down from the inside.
Sat Jul 30, 2016 10:02 pm
mp3, I swear to God if he doesn't make the cut...
Andrew, and here I thought Varejao got trolled by the basketball gods for switching teams to chase a championship
Sun Jul 31, 2016 12:15 am
Speaking of Varejao and the Warriors I read that he most likely won't accept a championship ring from the Cavs? Is he still undercover as a "Warriors" player?
Sun Jul 31, 2016 2:08 am
He declined the ring from the Cavs.

The Bulls have been making some head scratching moves but how about this past seasons darling, the blazers??! The awesome rebuild now is locked in the luxury tax thanks to the Evan Turner and Crabbe contracts
Boston may be having a slow off season but I think Portland and the Lakers have had the worst offseasons

I'm inclined to agree. Roughly $150M invested in a pair of average-at-best wings over the next four years is no bueno. I can tolerate re-signing Meyers Leonard and like the Ezeli signing, but we're going all in on winning 45 games every year. I wonder if they wouldn't have blown their load so much had they not lucked into making the second round.

That's a lot of money for just a slight improvement over aminu

I had a feeling he would, this is finally "his" team now. I never really bought the Durant-Westbrook Love each other image they put out.

Enes Kanter has a strong twitter game

I think Westbrook will be a legit MVP candidate next season, especially now that Durant and Curry are on the same team.
If he can lead OKC to a top 4 seed and produce a bunch of triple-doubles again he should be right in the mix.
Thu Aug 04, 2016 7:51 pm
So much for the speculation that he's gone.
Tue Aug 30, 2016 3:45 am
The Kings have signed Ty Lawson to a one year deal.
He's being signed as there 3rd string pg and no one bats an eyelid, how far he has fallen...
Tue Aug 30, 2016 9:17 am
Definitely a long road to redemption for him. Hopefully he can get his personal issues sorted out so that he doesn't self-destruct off the court, and finds his way back to relevance on it. He's only 28, so he should have more than a couple of good years left in the league.

He just got a big front-page interview from ESPN:
http://theundefeated.com/features/ty-la ... stumbling/I think so. The whole thing is with confidence. Last [season] was the first time I felt that I wasn’t the confident player. If I did any wrong thing, I would be scared to shoot it or scared to make a pass. But it’s all confidence. I sat down, looked in the mirror and watched my old YouTube videos and realized I am the same player I am. I just have to be confident shooting the ball and play my regular game.
He only had one bad season. And part of that was fit with Harden. Houston wanted him to spot-up and play off the ball. And it killed his confidence, especially when he got yanked from the lineup, which he said months ago, he did a lot better when he got to Indiana and they put the ball in his hands.
