In arguably the least interesting second round match-up, ATL battles Washington. Like many, I'm not sold on the Hawks. They should get past Washington, albeit barely, but their lack of a superstar that can take over games really hurts. It would be one thing if they played elite defense, but the Nets series, despite the blowout win in Game 6, exposed them a bit.
Washington played very well against Atlanta, and should make it really hard on the Hawks. I think they'll fall short because they're poorly coached and suck offensively, but it should be a battle.
ATL in 7

Hawks in 7, though the Wizards advancing in 7 instead is certainly not unthinkable. I'll go with the Hawks, though.

What is with obscene languages? Where have you left your manners at?
That said, Washington in fucking 6 games. They beat my Raptors, they better be legit.

What are the Wizards going to do against an actual defense?

Reason for my prediction is because I am rooting for the Wizard even though I dislike Paul Pierce very very much. Let's just say John Wall's manly tears won me over.
Hawks struggled against the Nets. I see much hopes in this series for the Wizard as their backcourt is superior(especially w/ hot Pierce) to the Nets that gave Hawks some goosebumps in 6 games. Brook Lopez is better than anything the Wizard got at the frontcourt in terms of productivity but Wizard's frontcourt is fine as well. Gortat/Nene should be able to size up and intimidate undersized Hawks frontcourt. Let's go.

Their Ortg dropped by 1 point. That's not struggling. Dropping 2 games is not struggling

If you're a 60 wins team, you don't normally drop 2 games against 38 wins team in a series and call it a straight up asswhooping.
Yeah, let's call it something else and not 'struggle', your point?
Sun May 03, 2015 10:15 pm
I didn't call it an asswhooping.
It was competitive but certainly the Hawks weren't struggling. The Nets, despite their bad regular season have a roster that's capable of stealing a game or two from many teams.
Struggling is an exagaration, my point.

A little late to the party, but Wizards in 6. I don't believe in Hawks.

Wall/Beal/Pierce are probably tougher foes than Deron/JJ/Bodjan. I already warned about lack of defensive wing and depth for the Hawks. That's what happened in today's game. There's hole in their game that Wizard can take advantage of. Hawks better hit their threes or this series could be over sooner than people expected.

I didn't say you did. Why are you defensive all the time, I used it to back my case.

Hear me out, menopauss. This isn't the first time, 2nd time, not even 3rd time you're doing this but quite simply this is just tiresome.
If I can't call a team that's struggling to perform at the expectation and record, a 'struggle', without being hassled and tackled, how could we possibly discuss anything sanely? Was it too farfetched for me to call it a 'struggle' that we have to have a discussion on DICTIONARY DEFINITION? People are just obsessed being politically correct now days.

Wizards draw first blood. The Hawks are far from finished, but I'm starting to wonder if Washington could end up coming out of the East.

Extremely bad news for the Wizard. Wall is hurt from a hard fall. His left wrist isn't good but he vows to play in game 2.
Then there is Beal. Who was in extreme pain this afternoon. He tried to come back into the game but had to sit out for good. I don't think he's going to be 100% in this series.
What a bad break for the well rested Wizard.

The Wizards backcourt is looking unstoppable right now, I think we may she a Wizards vs Cavs ecf's

Wizards in 6. Atlanta is highly overrated.

The Hawks bounce back in Wall's absence.

Wall's wrist is said to be all swollen. He was scratched in the last minute. I guess they really tried to put him on the floor though.
I seriously hope to see him on Saturday though. They probably have little to no chance against the Hawks without him.

Wizards will crumble without a Wall. Ha! Get it.

The only chance that atlanta will get is if wall will be out of the lineup.

John Wall has five fractures in his left wrist and hand, and the Wizards feel the painWizards guard John Wall underwent multiple examinations yesterday that revealed five non-displaced fractures in his left wrist and hand.
Wall and the team are currently in consultation with multiple physicians and specialists to determine the best course of action and his playing status has yet to be determined. Further updates will be provided as information becomes available.
Hawks have really caught a break here, no pun intended.

GGWP for the Wizards.

Wizard up by 16 in nearly at the end of 2nd quarter?
What is wrong with the Hawks. Who called them the Spurs of East.
