http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/99406 ... s-revealedESPN.com can confirm that photos circulating on the Internet on Thursday are what NBA teams will be wearing on Christmas Day. The jerseys will have sleeves and, more intriguingly, will not have uniform numbers on the front. Instead, they will carry a team logo on the chest, similar to a hockey jersey, with the uniform number moved to the left sleeve. Each player's name and number will remain on the back, as usual. The overall visual effect is that of a glorified T-shirt.

They found a way to top last year's bad Christmas uniforms, I'll give them that.

Adam Silver hates Christmas.

You're saying David Stern never would have let this happen if he were still alive?
Fri Nov 08, 2013 10:34 am
I think by last year Stern stopped caring. Just waiting for retirement.

Welp.... At least they are better than these jerseys
Fri Nov 08, 2013 11:25 am
I like them, a lot.
Fri Nov 08, 2013 1:09 pm
I also don't think they're that bad. Can actually see myself wearing the Brooklyn one.
Edit: And maybe the OKC and Boston one. The bright red and with the white bull logo is kind of meh. They should've made the jersey solid black. Would've blended better with the White Bull.

The sad part is, Adidas/NBA thinks this is ACTUALLY fashionable, but it's not. looks like some cheesy generic nba shirt they they to sell you on at Macy's or any other department store.

And that's why you'll find plenty of this stuff for cheap at TJ Maxx and Marshalls in about eight months.
Speaking of which, if you guys ever want jerseys for players your team trades for like $20, check out one of these nearby shortly after the trade.
When Darko got traded I could have got a hundred of his jerseys (and three Carlos Arroyo jerseys) from one store alone, I didn't and I should have, but I could have.
(In case anybody is wondering why: how these stores work is basically say a normal store buys a hundred Darko jerseys for $80 per jersey originally to sell for $100. When the trade happens the value of the jerseys to a normal store basically vanishes, so TJ Maxx/Marshalls comes along and says "we'll give you two hundred bucks for all of them" and then hopes they sell 11 (or at least $201+ worth) of em. (Maybe the original store will keep a few to see if they can sell them half off or whatever but the other company takes the bulk of them.) They do this (or buy over/cancelled orders) with basically everything you'll find in these stores.)
Trades work better than FA for this usually because they'll suddenly get a shit load dumped on them and just put them all on the floor right away.

I think they'd be fine as fan gear, but as far as actually being worn by the players in a game, not so much.

I honestly don't have nothing against new ideas, instead it i even like it. But sleveed t-shirts like those goes against a NBA tradition of uniforms...
I really don't approve this new styles...
There are so many other options as a creator, that giving sleeves is a cheap idea imo.

Every time I see them I just keep thinking that they are pyjamas.

Credit where it's due as far as that TV spot is concerned, but still don't care for this year's jerseys, sleeves and all.

Seeing those XMas day unis make me think jersey burning is perfectly reasonable.

The Nets one looks more generic than their already generic uniforms!
I'm only waiting for the NBA to enforce having pockets in shorts.

Tuned in to a bit of the Brooklyn-Chicago game...it's completely impossible to take it seriously. It looks like a pickup game.

The last game was definitely the best one. There were some bad calls (don't think Blake deserved to get ejected, nor did Bogut deserve a flagrant one), but it's been a fun rivalry to watch this season. Bogut seems to have a knack for pissing people off. It's a shame I'm either going to be stuck on a plane or severely jet-lagged the next time they meet.

man that was terrible. seems like they tried to intentionally take blake out of the game. 2 guys going after him, and he gets 2 techs for relatively mild responses

It's hard to feel sorry for him after all his past flopping antics. It was a terrible decision to eject him though because he didn't really do anything wrong. Was worth it to hear Jon Barry go nuts though.
Did anyone else catch him say "he got up that bitch quick" after Jordan dunked in the second half.
