more so at the fact that this is actually the first semi-serious WNBA thread I've seen here... ever?

I hate the WNBA now, it used to be a guilty pleasure of mine to sit down and watch Deanna Nolan kill it when she was with the Shock, but since they moved to Tulsa my interest is gone-- which is probably a good thing.

Wel, second. Storm are killing it though. 3-0 in the playoffs (3 wins away from the title!) and are undefeated at home this year. Lauren Jackson's like if Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitzki had an Australian daughter.

I'd say she's better looking than that.

The new television deal with ESPN will continue during the 2010 season (runs 2009–2016). For the first time ever, teams will be paid rights fees as part of this deal.

Holy shit, no wonder so many teams were insolvent.

Of the WNBA highlights I've been seeing (while waiting for a program), Lauren Jackson's been killing it. Since when did she have an outside shot? It's like she got tired of abusing people inside and decided to pop some threes. She's also decent driving to the lane, for a player her size.

Not really possible as they are from the same conference. In fact, Storm just sweeped the Mercury in the West finals.

This year, the championship would be a bigger deal than 04 considering what happened to the Sonics. Really hope we draw ATL instead of the Liberty.

Haha, I've been to a few regular season games, but I'm pretty broke. Was tempted to go today, but its $30+ for the worst seats in the house and none of my friends wanted to go.
