Do you think J.O. will be traded ? Haslem ? ( to improve Beasley ? )
Do you think Pat Riley will engineer a trade this offseason ?
Who's the best option for the Heat in the oncoming Draft Night ?
What's the best Draft option ? Center - Small Forward etc . ?
Do you think they'll stay with J.O. ?
Tell me your opinions . . .

Yes Beasley needs to stay,he will improve,he will be a great scorer and player,I think we all expect more from him but he is very young and he and wade could be the very good tandem. They have great shooter chalmers and great defender joel anthony.I think they are just too young. If they will be patient they could become very good team and championship candidate.Hm,J.0,I think they need to trade him and make more space for beasley but i am not sure that they will trade J.0.About draft, they don't have so good draft picks,43 and 60.This players will not be so helpful to miami, but who knows.

Chalmers is what ?
A second-round pick ? I guess . . .
Then look at his impact in this Heat Team .
I think they won't trade J.O. they'll use his contract for the 2010 OffSeason .
Maybe to sign one of the Big Stars in the NBA .
Most likely they'll stay with J.O. that's the smart move .
What are your predictions on this Year's Heat OffSeason ?

Chalmers is a great shooter. Why are you so suprised. He can become a really good player. If they will be patient they will keep J.O but if they wont i think they will trade him for maybe player same caliber or maybe for some worse player and pick.Who knows, maybe there will be multiplayer trade, maybe is too early for offseason predictions. We don't know what other teams will do and what heat will do.I said,Heat have some young and very talented players. If they will be patient and if they keep those players and get some older player or players because these young players need a mentor.I don't know, they can make great team without these young players and make "Instant team" like celtics but i don't like that even this can be very good and it shows results but i like how pistons and spurs are making their team. They are making team with same "core" and they build up their team and this team can play for years and can play successful.Heat is one of my favourite teams and i would like to see wade and great team around him.

Yeah , You'll never what Pat Riley would do this OffSeason . It's the NBA ! Where Amazing Happens !
Obviously , the Heat needs a real Center . Jermaine is a natural PF . But why the heck they wouldn't they use Magloire !? and the other C's on their line-up ? is Gortat a good fix for this team ? He has an expiring contract this year . Maybe Pat is interested in him . . .

Compare us to the Lakers for instance. Shaq left the team, then both seemed to be doomed for awhile. Kobe finally got the needed talents around him. Same should happen with Wade. He's about 4 years younger than Kobe too so Wade's got time. He just needs to stay away from injuries and keep himself motivated. So here's an idealistic future: Wade will be Kobe, Beasley will be Odom, Chalmers will be Fisher, Joel will be Bynum, then we pull Gasol trade to complete the team. Let's hope it'd be Bosh, Aldridge, or Howard. Doesn't it sound AWESOME? Once again, where amazing happens.

Seriously, we aren't in a bad situation. I don't think we will become a serious contender right after this offseason unless we pull Boston KG & Allen trade, but if key young talents on this team develops in the right direction along with a few acquisition of veterans who's all about winning, I think we'll be contending for a championship realistically in a near future.

As for JO, I think we need to resign him, at significantly less cost of course. There were times when JO showed his great former self. I don't expect him to return to his prime days condition due to his age and injury, but I do believe he's still one of the better impact making big men if he can stay healthy and motivated. Besides, if we send him walking, then we'd be left without size once again.

I don't know about Gortat. First of all, Orlando probably want to keep him. Second, if they decide not to do so, there will be a lot of other teams who could use a guy like him. Miami probably have to wait till 2010 and sign another star player. They won't get much value in upcoming draft. Besides Griffin (will be a superstar), Rubio, Wall (if declares), Holliday, Blair, Curry and DeRozan there won't be a lot of good players. Their only chance is to get a steal in the draft, which is possible. They won't use Magloire and Anthony more because they are limited offensively. If Beasley will start playing some D, Heat will be a lot better team in near future.

They're okay at PG , SG , and PF . . .
They need an aggressive defensive player in the Small Forward Spot and a rebounding and shot blocking Center who can defend really well . . .
Any Free Agent Candidates in those spots ?

Just punt next season. Then use the gobs of space in 2010.

Trade Haslem and look for other big mens that could guard and bang up with some other big men

Re: What Does the Heat Need to Improve Next Season ?

Thu May 14, 2009 6:48 pm

I think Erik Spoelstra likes Haslem in the Starting Position .
He defends better than Beasley .
How about . . .
PG - Chalmers
SG - Wade
SF - Beasley
PF - Haslem
C - J. O'neal
Is this an effective line-up ?

Re: What Does the Heat Need to Improve Next Season ?

Define "effective."

Re: What Does the Heat Need to Improve Next Season ?

I think Beasley will be effective in the SF Position , he has the length and speed to guard some Sf's and he got the height to post them up !
I think it's a fit Position for Beasley (Nowitzki V.2) he will dominate offensively against smaller Sf's but he has to improve defensively . Now , I think the only problem on this Heat Team is their lack of offense and depth on their bench .

Re: What Does the Heat Need to Improve Next Season ?

Fri May 15, 2009 5:33 am

Beasley is no Nowitzki v2.0. Kevin Durant is Nowitzki 2.0

Wade will be Kobe - ok, I like your game...

Beasley will be Odom - WTF? I don't want Beasley to be an underachiever...

Chalmers will be Fisher - I think you meant Farmar...

Joel will be Bynum - are you losing your mind? If only Bynum has half the toughness of Joel Anthony, Bynum would be a superstar by now...

He should not play SF position regularly if he ever wants to live up to his expectations. His great college days came from inside, not from the perimeter. However, it's been frustrating all year to see him spending much time around the perimeter and not toughening up to NBA standard for big men. He was really effective in rebounding and finishing around the rim in his college days, and now he has to make an adjustment, not change his position to SF where I think Moon is better than Beasley at the moment anyways. No doubt he's undersized for a big man's position, but he has to learn from other great undersized PFs like Boozer. I really wish to see him improve on his D and decision making skills next year.

Moon is too thin and I think better off the bench .
But then again , so is Beasley he's better off the bench ( in my opinion ) . The Heat lacks offense off the bench so Beasley can be that spark .

He can, if starters give them some production. If O'Neal returns at least close to his previous form next season, it would make his task lot easier. But they still need someone else (FA, trade, draft?) to be more effective.

A back-up for Chalmers ( Maybe Nate ) . . .
SG's and SF's are alright but they need a stronger man in SF position .
PF to C . . . I don't see no problems unless J.O. gets injured .

Re: What Does the Heat Need to Improve Next Season ?

Sun May 17, 2009 5:16 am

Nate as a backup? In other team, maybe, but chalmers isn't nearly as good yet to get a backup like Robinson. And Nate will be quite expensive if he leaves NY.
There's still one problem about JO - his rebounding, unless they change something in their rotation or he gets back to his form, that might cost them bigger sucsess. Damn, they should develop Joel Anthony asap...

Yep , I watched some videos of Joel Anthony . . .
Is that guy from D-League ? The one they got last year when Wade was out and the Heat lacking players ?
Joel Anthony is a good low-post defender uh , hes tough . . .
Kinda' like Chuck Hayes .

Re: What Does the Heat Need to Improve Next Season ?

Maybe some experience at the point next season? All the young guys have some playoff experience now, the Heat could really surprise someone next year.

Please. Don't compare the greatness that is Joel Anthony to that borderline good player Chuck Hayes.

Trade JO's expiring contract for something this year....

Keep Haslem, he's the rock....he can be backup PF & play some backup C & start when injuries hit....Beasley is gonna be a stud scorer, even though he more or less already is....he's a starter next season....

Heat's best option is to take best available talent, regardless of position....if you're talking about what position they will probably end up drafting for, I'd probably say PG as there are a few solid ones....no SF's in this draft, nor big men....so I think a PG....

Chalmers is a good sparkplug PG, who'll be good once he's a backup (rather than starter) & defends & hits 3's....I was surprised he dropped past late 1st Round last year....
