For Miami, I think it's a case of moving Marion while they can still get something for him rather than risking him leaving via free agency this coming offseason with the Heat getting nothing in return. They'd get cap relief of course but they can get the same with Jermaine O'Neal's contract expiring after next season, just in time for the 2010 hoopla. They'd also be able to get Marcus Banks' contract - which doesn't expire until 2011 - off the books and trim another $4 mil from the payroll. They would give them a better opportunity to re-sign Wade to a big contract and still have some cap space left over to at least bring in a solid third or fourth player, if not someone pushing All-Star calibre. They'd also get to rent O'Neal for a season and a half and if things work out, perhaps re-sign him to a smaller contract in 2010 as well.

To Miami: Jermaine O'Neal and Jamario Moon
To Toronto: Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks
The main difference from the original speculated trade is the inclusion of Jamario Moon.

Marion wasn`t doing that good cause he doesnt have a Nash type of PG to make him better. But when he goes to the Raptors, his problem is resolved with Calderon. Plus you don't need O'Neal if Andrea is playing up to his potentical. For Miami you finally get some defense and size inside with O'Neal and if healthy, a good scorer to help Wade. Then move Beasley to SF and start him with Haslem
