Having lost 3 of their last 4 games; including this loss to a Roy-less Portland tonight it's obvious they aren't that great defensively. Teams that are hot from the 3 or mid-range give them problems...even the warriors got um. Running the zone most of the time only works on one dimensional slashing/half court teams. The cavaliers and the lakers both can kill you from the inside and outside...so I doubt we'll be seeing a repeat championship for this geriatric team. At this point..no one can say for sure who is better between the cavs/lakers/celtics ....but I doubt it's the celtics.
Your thoughts???

Apparently, Portland played with 6 players for a whole possession. The Celtics were trying to protest it during the play to no avail, and it resulted in a basket scored for the Blazers. They called a tech afterwards, but the basket scored by the Blazers still counted.

Things that doesn't happen everyday

The Lakers lost two in a row last week, the Cavaliers lost to the Heat today, even the best teams drop some games that they shouldn't. That's not to say the Celtics don't have some issues or that they're guaranteed to repeat but I wouldn't call a team that recently won nineteen in a row is unravelling just because they've come up short in their last few games.

But Big Fatty Davis was amazingly getting nutted on by the blazer bigs. it was so funny to see him try move his fat butt around

Although their next game against the wizards might be interesting considering they are a team that currently lives and dies with their outside shooting. Also, I'm anxious to see how this team will play out once they face some of the tougher teams then and towards the end of the month.

BIG GREEN wrote:It just seems to me that they have a problem with jump shooting teams. Unraveling might be a strong word (attention grabber) but they definitly don't seem like some untouchable powerhouse anymore. Losing 3 out of four is something I didn't expect out of them.
