So you think that Portland's scout would go on some random NBA Live forum, with airjordan89 as his username, and say that a guy who is a mid second-rounder will go in the top 10 and is the next Dwight Howard is something worth taking seriously?

Mr. "I am the Portland Trailblazers Scout", try using proper spelling/grammer if you want to convince people you are actually working for a professional NBA team.

Do not hesitate to draft Mr. Nathan Jawai in your fantasy Blazers team. You are probably only looking for advise and attention anyway.

Guys, why all of a sudden we are all calling each other retarded? Is this the new internet fad?

no, that's actually been quite the fad for the last 10 years or so. it could also easily be replaced with "gay". i.e. "that's so retarded/gay"

I'm not retarded, guys. I know internet lingo. Just that for some reason there have been more people calling each other retarded in the past week in this forum. Just something I noticed...

Anyway, to get back on topic...

Wouldn't it be funny if the Blazers did somehow draft Jawai and he turned out to post Howard-like stats? Thinking about it, the fact where the Blazers draft him isn't that much of a long shot, he is projected 39th, only if they would get him, it would be in the second round.

Double posting. How retardedly ghey.

on-topic: I bet Bogut can massacre that guy when they play against each other. Andrew Bogut has more chance being the next Dwight Howard than that guy.

I prefer to look at it like Dwight Howard is the Nathan Jawai before his time.

I don't know about him having an immediate impact or truly being the next Shaq or Dwight Howard but I hope he does get drafted and succeeds in the NBA.

I haven't seen him play but I've had a glance at his stats from the last NBL season He's in the top twenty in points (17.7 ppg, 17th), rebounds (9.6 rpg 3rd), blocks (1 bpg, 9th) and field goal percentage (57.5%, 5th) so he's doing alright by NBL standards. I don't think that translates into an immediate impact in the NBA. Once again though, I hope he does succeed.

How many players have been drafted out of the NBL and actually gone on to PLAY in the NBA?

I can only think of Anstey. I'm sure Paul Rogers and Ben Pepper were drafted, but they've never actually played.
