Hope he will get some minutes, I like seeing him play.

The Raps could do with some scoring, damn they could do with anything these days.

Art Long, the hero of Raptor fans around the world replaced Foster!
Thu Jan 09, 2003 1:41 pm
They really could have done without Art Long though.
Thu Jan 09, 2003 2:00 pm
Right now they just need another big man for depth with Bradley, Montross and N'diaye out with injuries.

Who is Skip to my Lou? Can anyone give me some info on the guy?
Sat Jan 11, 2003 4:27 pm

Not with Davis and McCoy being the only two healthy big-men (and Jerome Williams as SF/PF)

Alston had a great first game last night scoring a team high 17 on 7 of 10 shooting with 4 assists and 5 rebounds. However he did also have 5 turnovers but it was his first game so I'll give him a break about that.
Mon Jan 13, 2003 6:46 am
Woohooo... in Alston's second game the Raptors end there 12 game winning streak. Alston had another nice game with 12 points, 8 assist and 6 rebounds.

end there 12 game winning streak.
Losing streak don't you mean?
Mon Jan 13, 2003 10:13 am
Oops, my bad. I did mean 12 game losing streak.
Mon Jan 13, 2003 12:00 pm
ESPN better show some highlights of Skip To My Lou during Sportsceter, or I'm gonna be pissed off.
Mon Jan 13, 2003 12:06 pm
Surely they will. He made a big contribution.
Wed Jan 15, 2003 12:27 pm
13 pts, 11 ast, 4 rebs, 2 stl, and 3 threes...
Raptors beat the Wizards 84-75.
Wed Jan 15, 2003 2:02 pm
Could he finally be the pure point guard that the raps have been searching for ever since Jackson left? I think so....
Wed Jan 15, 2003 8:41 pm
Seems you have to top score or pull some bullshit play out of your arse to get on SC.
Wed Jan 15, 2003 10:27 pm
I don't think there would be much to see. He's not out there throwing the ball off people's heads and what-not. He's just playing normal basketball...he said himself that he had to learn to stop doing that stuff and just make fundamental plays...
Thu Jan 16, 2003 1:45 am
Which he's doing...I think the Raptors might have finally found a point guard.
Thu Jan 16, 2003 3:49 am
Yea but it seems like people think Rafer is out there spinning on his head and doing backflips down the court and Sportscenter refuses to air it. You guys would probably be disappointed if they showed highlights of him running the pick and roll and taking spot-up threes...
Thu Jan 16, 2003 4:21 am
He may not be passing the ball off of people's heads but he is still making some pretty nice passes. When I watch him play he reminds me of a more controlled version of Jason Williams (Sac/Memphis).
Thu Jan 16, 2003 6:51 am
Ok, they did show ONE assist in the highlight, better than nothing.
Thu Jan 16, 2003 1:01 pm
Skip continues his hot shooting from downtown, hitting 4 of 6 treys, scored 14 pts and dropped 5 dimes in a Raptors loss.

Where has anyone suggested that? You guys would probably be disappointed if they showed highlights of him running the pick and roll and taking spot-up threes...
Actually most of us are happy to see him finally find a home in the NBA. It's great to see him playing solid ball.
