I was just wondering who do you guys think is better. Not team but player.
Dwyane Wade
OR
Tracy McGrady
I say Wade because he shot 478% averaged 24.1 PPG, 5.2 RPG, and 6.8 APG. And this is only his 2nd NBA Season. I know Tmac is really good, but I think Wade is more affective and no one can block him. And Wade is a much much better defender than TMac
Tue Aug 23, 2005 12:04 pm
Why is Wade a much better defender than Tmac? Because he has more steals per game?
Tue Aug 23, 2005 12:11 pm
at this time, i would say t-mac. no, tmac is as good as wade on defense. why? did you see last year's playoff? t-mac can go off and score points really quick and shoot wherever he wants. although wade is pretty good as shooting, i still think t-mac is much better shooter. if it wasn't for yao's inconsistency, they would have advanced to the second round.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 12:20 pm
t-mac...how can u compare thouse 2, wade is just a rising star and t-mac is a superstar!
Tue Aug 23, 2005 12:29 pm
tmac
Can Wade hit outside shots? Can he shoot 3s? Can he score 13 in 35sec? Can he play PG/SG/SF/PF ?
T-mac can
He has proven himself as a good nba player individually. Wade is still young, plus his team support has been pretty good.

I agree with Amphatoast, except for the PF. He can't do diddly squat at the PF position, and I don't think he ever played at that position.
I'm just buggin ya
That being said, I'd give it to T-Mac since he's more reliable to hit the big shots, experience, and versitality, but I'd rather have Wade on my team simply because he's got nowhere to go but grow.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 1:00 pm
He probably meant when T-Mac shut Dirk down defensively in the playoffs.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 1:13 pm
T-mac duh
Tue Aug 23, 2005 1:33 pm
there's no other versatile playa ever lived than next to the COOLEST Mac of all time.
T-Mac hands down
Tue Aug 23, 2005 2:20 pm
YUP
hes an all around player thats why he happens to be one of my fav. players and for the same reason thats why gerald green is fav. rookies
Tue Aug 23, 2005 2:33 pm
Its terrible to debate on this one. Like Anthony15 said, wade is a rising star and tmac is already a proven superstar. Thats it. Now please dont start to base it in playoff success coz imo houston is the place where hes surrounded with good players for the first time in his career.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 3:09 pm
Easy answer, T-Mac. T-Mac is an all around player. He can do everything. As for Wade, he cannot shoot 3s, he is not as aggressive on the board as T-Mac. Different in sizes, T-Mac can guard taller players like Dirk. This is not a good comparison between these 2 players. I think it should be T-Mac or Kobe instead.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 3:14 pm
yeah lets change the topic..
TMAC or KO8E?
im still going for T-MAC
Tue Aug 23, 2005 3:27 pm
Can he score 13 in 35sec?
Can T-Mac actually do it more than once? Fluke.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 3:32 pm
^^That was a stupid argument anyway.
I think T-Mac is better too, but can he block Amare and shoot it from 3/4 of the court in 3.958469 seconds?

AT least he's done it! how many times has it happened in the past? to my knowleadge not once!
Tue Aug 23, 2005 4:31 pm
Reggie Miller 8 points in 9 seconds in the East finals vs. NY, Larry Bird 7 points in 22 seconds. And those were actually in important games. I'm sure it's happened more times than that aswell. Hell, in the Australian league we had a guy (Tony Jensen) score 9 points in 6 seconds.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 4:41 pm
Millers was probably the most impressive out of the ones u listed jae but i still feel t-mac's was just UNBELIEVABLE! it was crazy
Tue Aug 23, 2005 5:48 pm
And no one can block Wade? How's that?
He's only 6-4.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 6:01 pm
never mind Jae. he happens to be a Mac hater

lets see reggie and bird do it more than once. and, guess what? in my dreams i once scored 200 points.... in 5 seconds!
tmac in a heartbeat over kobe or wade.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 7:10 pm
T-Mac is a do-it-by-them-selves-please-type players, i like team players
Wade in the future!
(gees i'm exciting)
Tue Aug 23, 2005 8:23 pm
lets see reggie and bird do it more than once.
Lets see T-Mac do it more than once

I'm not a T-Mac hater, I just think listing something he's done one time in his entire career is a silly argument.
Tue Aug 23, 2005 8:34 pm
Let's see T-Mac play in Rnd 2, hahah.
Let's see T-Mac not cry when his team is losing.
