DUNKZ!

And that horn thingy after he does them DUNKZ!

If Darius is smart he doesn't dunk anymore or he will leave the court on stretcher sooner or later.

So much for him proving to the Celtics that he can help them win. Perhaps he'll catch on somewhere else.

Sure, but now which team will sign him?

Or... which team he will choose... i can't see Darius playing for a non playoff caliber team

To make a very vague suggestion, I'd say a team that doesn't necessarily need him but could do with a little extra depth at his position; someone he could potentially help but they'd still be alright without him. Failing that, injuries could open the door for him to join someone else at some point in the near future.

If he really wants to play, he should really consider Europe. 32 game season, softer players, much easier on knee and less chance spend rest of life in wheel chair

Not really. If his knee is truly in such bad shape that playing professional basketball places him at a serious risk of putting him a wheelchair (which I highly doubt is the case) then I don't think the European game is going to be much easier on him because that would mean his knee is in pretty bad shape.

I doubt that he'd have that many options. Playoff teams won't want him, because they won't need him. At this point he's an 11th or 12th man on a lottery team AT BEST.

suspended without pay for 10 games this season for violating the NBA's anti-drug program.

That explains why he thought he can make a comeback.
He was high.

At the same time though, playoff teams are the teams that can afford to take a chance on him since they're in good shape with him and won't be depending on him.

But he hasn't played at all in recent times. I don't see why a playoff team/contender would take him into their system. I was thinking a team that wasn't going anywhere would be more likely experiment with a player like Miles.

Because they can afford to. They wouldn't be depending on him but they could make a low risk investment in him for a season at the veteran's minimum. If he proves himself useful, then they've got another backup at small forward if need be. If it doesn't work out, they can cut him without having to worry about a huge financial burden.

The question is has Miles ever proven himself to be useful? I don't see why teams would take a flier on him but I know where you're coming from. However, if I was a GM of a team, I think there would be other more proven vets out there more worthy than Miles.

He's probably shown enough for some teams to have at least a mild interest in bringing him in. There probably are former NBA players in minor leagues or overseas that would be better options to reach out to but bringing them aboard may not be feasible and some of them are getting older. I would suggest Miles will never fulfil the potential he was supposed to have when the Clippers drafted him but he's young and if his knee holds up he's another body out there who's reasonably athletic and has some length. His chances would be much better if he were a stronger shooter, though.

Presumably he'll begin his suspension immediately then, so he won't be suiting up until the new year.

Good to see that Grizzlies gave him a chance. I don't know why, but I always liked the guy. I hope he's now healthy enough to play regularly in the NBA.

With his ten game suspension, he won't be in action until the new year.
