Easy for us to say, we don't have to sign the cheques or pay the luxury tax (as they'd have to if they meet his price). If they went from $59 mil over 6 years to something between $60-65 mil, perhaps he'll meet them halfway considering the lack of leverage and interest from other teams.

Actually, that opinion is the general consensus these days.

i've been saying that for years though. even when he was overrated in NBA 2k7 and Live 08 as a Larry Bird-like 3point shooter.
