Interesting move, we all know how his last gig went with a young squad, but hopefully he'll stick around long enough to actually develop these players.

Wow, I wonder where Mike Fratello and Rick Carlisle end up.

Good job hiring Mr.Brown, Okafor/Wallace/Morrison/Felton/Richardson and another loterry Pick??? Ayyy not bad but you know...

So much for the speculation and the Bobcats deliberating after firing Sam Vincent. I guess the Bobcats have enough experience to suit Larry Brown's taste, though their lottery pick might be destined to warm the bench as long as Brown's tenure lasts.

Maybe now they will trade Morrison, the lottery pick and someone else for a Center that doesn't suck!

dont think this is the best move for the young Bobcats. I think Paul Silas is a better fit, and Larry seems to struggle with young teams that don't "play the right way". he's better with veteran teams.

Never liked larry brown and never will. The Bobcats are gonna be in the lottery a couple more years....too bad for charlotte: its hard to pull for a team that's going to struggle for its entire short history

Why would a young team hire the one coach who's infamously worst with young players? Doesn't make sense to me one bit. On the other hand, I'm waiting for the Bulls to bring in Rick Carlisle as their head coach.

Can someone explain this? What team full of young talent did Brown go to and botched the young players?

I know I haven't looked into it except very casually so I'd like some evidence for this meme. There's Darko and...

Until Darko, Brown had a reputation as one of the greatest "teaching coaches" around. I don't see how his one season with the Knicks proves anything about him. (Featuring career seasons from Frye, Woods, Butler...good rookie years for Robinson and Lee.) Plus, Darko was a Euro.

The problem with Brown is when he's got GM duties, since he wants to trade a player immediately after he has a bad game, plus his tendency to bail.
