Webber.... whats the deal?

It's a done deal

It'll be interesting to see Webber back on the Warriors. He is probably going to be the back-up center for Bierdrins even though he expressed his discomfort for playing center.
But then this will mean even less chances for playing time for O' Bryant and Wright(Trade him back for JRICH!!!!!!)

I'd say that's what everyone's thinking right about now. Perhaps Nellie envisions Webber as part of a Plan B when Plan A stops working against the Western Conference powers? Webber is after all a player who is probably still capable of averaging around 12 and 8 per game given the opportunity but he's an odd fit in an uptempo club.

Surely GSW arent stupid enough to think otherwise?

If Webber is happy to play such limited minutes, I find this to be a good signing. Not to mention the skills he can teach Biedrins...

You wouldn't think so. They're in for a disappointment if they think otherwise.

That'll be interesting to see how he fits in this kind of offense. Provided he's healthy.

I'm sure Nellie will find some minutes for Webber especially if Bierdrins gets into early foul trouble. And he can be like Damon Jones to the Cavs and just mentor some of the younger guys. I would love to see Bierdrins developing a mid-range jumper and O' Bryant is just waiting to show off his.

Webber isn't going to make a big difference to any team in this league...he's washed up.

I'd doubt anyone would want to give anything up for him, considering that if they really wanted him, they would have done so a long time ago. They would not wait until a team signs him then get him by giving up a player. Unless a team is trying to dump some contract, then maybe. But the Warriors won't accept that anyway.

If he's capable of 12 and 8 I'd take him on the Bulls, particularly on a one year contract at the veteran minimum. Perhaps he does have something left in the tank, after all he hasn't had to deal with the rigours of an NBA season since the Playoffs last year. He might be able to come in with fresher legs than normal, rickety as they may be.

I wouldn't. Joe Smith has been playing some of the best basketball of his career for the Bulls and he's a good veteran starting power forward for this team. Any more frontline additions and the next we'll see of Tyrus is his face on a milk carton.

True, but I'd still be tempted to take Webber producing 12 and 8 on the veteran's minimum for one year over Wallace's production for $15 mil for the next two years.

That's certainly a possibiltiy as well. I suppose it depends if he's touched a basketball at all during his months away from the NBA.
