Spurs Apologize as Shaq Considers New Album and ‘Kazaam 2’
The San Antonio Spurs delivered a formal apology to the nation on Friday after realizing that their elimination of Shaquille O’Neal and the Los Angeles Lakers from the NBA playoffs freed up time for Shaq to work on another rap album or movie.
“We would like to express our deepest regrets,” said Tim Duncan. “In the heat of the battle we forgot the implications of what beating the Lakers would mean.”
O’Neal has not starred in a movie since 1997’s ‘Steel,’ and hasn’t recorded an album since 1998, two years before the Lakers began their run of titles.
“We can only hope and pray, along with the rest of the nation, that Shaq duplicates 1999 and 2000 – years in which he went without a title, movie and album – and focuses solely on basketball this offseason,” said Duncan.
