Olajuwon has been the entire year in the roster listed in http://www.nba.com/raptors/roster at Injured List.
Is that info correct? or was he retired finishing last season and off the Raps roster?

He's retired, but he's still under contract. Therefore, he remained on the Raptors' roster this year, and the Raptors received an injury exception as a result.

He didn't officially retire yet, so the Raptors would be able to trade his contract. Basically Hakeem was a bitch about the whole situation, too bad for such a great player he once was.
The exception the Raptors got was more because of the numer of injuries than it was about any specific injury. They just needed to dress 8 players that's why they could go over the maximum number of signees :)

My mistake, I thought he had made it official with the league, after the Rockets retired his number and all. Thanks for the clarification. :)
