As for Bryant, all I have to say is this

These are just juicy rumors! the same with Pippen getting traded every year because he was unhappy, goto Memphis? HA their supporting cast is just as bad as McGrady in Orlando, it would be worse there since he has no Shaq...just Mike Miller? not to mention he gets more money in LA... :?

LOLOLLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLL
i dont know about you, but i'd prefer Pau Gasol,Mike Miller,Michael Dickerson,Jason Williams,Stromile Swift,Lorenzon Wright,Shane Battier than one big man shaq

and T-Macs supporting cast is not bad

Well, since all he won with was Shaq last year I do not agree.

I would take Shaq right now over all those guys if I could add Kobe because you can always get Role players, but its the superstars that dont come that often, of those players only Gasol may become a star, and that is a maybe.

If T-Mac's supporting class is not bad why has he not made it out of the playoffs 1rst round yet? There is also not one proven winner on the Grizzlies squad, but I am by no means saying the Grizz supporting cast is better than the Lakers minus Shaq.

But these are all unfounded Rumors.

As for Phil Jackson he has always played these Mind games(even in Chicago) and he was just as bad, but you probally will deny this since he was the Bulls coach and your a Bulls fan.

I can't deny it. I know he's always played mind games, but there's something different about them these days. They're a little more cocky, a little more arrogant. And this season, they've been a bit hypocritical, too.

How is Shaq who does most of the insulting the entire Lakers squad?

That's just my poor wording. But Shaq, Phil and Kobe are the most prominent individuals on the team. Shaq is the leader and Phil is the coach - so when they speak, they are representing their team. I didn't mean to suggest that every player on the Lakers holds the same belief or attitude that all opponents are inferior and pose no challenge - but through Shaq and Phil, that's the message we receive.

just look at what the "supporting class" did to the pistons today.
i belive is was them that sparked the magic to finish the half with the lead.
when there on there game(just like the lakers ones) they can be a very good team, one of the best(as shown by there win today) teams.

but c'mon about the grizz.
look at all that talent!!
if they could get it together, and get some vets there, they would like the pacers, except for the major defensive stopper.

Alright I admit, the Grizz are not that bad :P , and about the time Kobe would opt out Gasol would probally be reaching the point where people can really tell if he is going to be anything.

But I still think Kobe will stay in LA, the Lakers should dump their sorry Vets for next to nothing in the next year to clear cap space to get some decent talent.

The one plus with playing with the Grizz is that they are young and easier for Kobe to boss around

As for the Pacer's ehhhhhhhh not quite there yet, as I said I dont think one player has smelled the playoffs, they never have had a winning season so they dont know how to win, and Vets are not going to come to Memphis until a superstar is there, and even then they would not match the Pacers talent level, however they might be a poor mans Indiana Pacers.
Memphis needs
C-Stromile Swift
PF-Paul Gasol
SF-Bonzi Wells
SG-Kobe Bryant
PG-Jason Williams

Then they are a legit contender!

I agree about the team leaders thing, I guess the Lakers are a little insecure and feel the need to bash people so they will feel better.

As for Phil Jackson's comments being hypocritical, I guess he is getting older and thus losing touch with what he is saying :)

With the Mavericks' loss in Game 4, 75% of us have been proven wrong - there will be no sweeps in the first round this year, an obvious by-product of the expansion to 7 games in the first round.

Thus equaling more money for David Stern and the NBA, although 7 games in the first round I must say is more entertaining.

I agree, it's not bad for something created out of the desire for more revenue, and a longer series can mean a more dramatic and entertaining duel between two teams. Then again, it gives teams a greater chance to bounce back from a poor performance. Consider the teams that are already up 3-1 - they would be in the next now, instead of looking to close out the series in a fifth game. Or the series that are tied at 2 games apiece- in previous years, they'd be entering a must-win game, rather than having a couple of extra chances to take the series.

More basketball to watch, which is great, but it's now a case of "in any other year, they'd be gone by now."
