I know it's looking to be just a rumour and probably won't happen, but I thought I'd offer my thoughts anyway. I can see why Boston would make such a deal with the current youth movement, but I'm wary of any deal that sends away a team's go-to guy without a player of the same or similar calibre coming the other way. A bit risky for Denver too, but they'd still be getting the better end of the deal. The Nuggets are in a position to deal a starter, especially if they're getting an All-Star in return.
If the Celtics are intent on getting rid of Pierce, they really should look to get as much in return as possible. Easier said than done since there aren't a lot of All-Star swingmen on the block at the moment, he's got a large contract and he's a little underrated as far as his market value is concerned, but they should be pressing for something quite generous in return.

i think that if boston wants to trade pierce, they should get a young allstar time or going to be allstar type game. also they don't need a pg while they really need a center.

I think we all knew that...
