2016 Playoffs: (3) OKC vs. (6) Dallas

Thu Apr 14, 2016 2:46 pm

Here's what we've been waiting for: J.J. Barea and Russell Westbrook finally meet again in the playoffs!

I have to say, I thought Dallas was missing the playoffs when they went on that midseason tailspin, but credit where its due, the defense along with strong play from Dirk and Barea helped them not only make it, but grab the 6 seed, where they hope to give the Thunder a run for their money.

The Thunder have two top 5 players, but outside of Ibaka, they're supporting cast is questionable. I'd place them a notch below the three real contenders (GS, SA, CLE) due to their uninspired fourth quarter play, the fact that I don't like them and because the top 3 teams are just that good. Still, they have a lot of talent and should be too much for Dallas to handle. Before they go off to lose in 6 to San Antonio, I think they'll manage to take down Dallas in 6 games

Dallas finds a way to win, kinda like how they should have beaten the Spurs in the first round the year the Spurs won it all

I'll say OKC in 5. Just because I have no idea what kind of form the Mavs are in right now and the Thunder are healthy and playing pretty well recently.

Plus, I'm not sure if Dallas can stop Durant from scoring. I think he's had like 64 games in a row of 20+ points at the moment.

Too bad. Prime Dirk would have made this a great series to watch but they don't have a chance. Durant is the new Dirk. Thudner in 5.

OKC in 5. Prime Dirk would make this OKC in 6.

I been waiting for this game whole day and 1st quarter was disappointing. The Mavs are looking their age. :facepalm2:

Only if Parsons was healthy, this would have been a much better series.

Just 5 seasons ago, Dirk at age of 32 raped KD, Westy, and Harden all together single-handed in Conference Finals, eliminating them 4-1.

Lol @ this serious. Old Dirk can't carry this broken Mavs team full of has-beens. Thunder in 4. (kinda cheating there after seeing tonight's game...)

http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/15357 ... -superstar
Perennial All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook does not meet Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban's standard for a superstar.

Cuban made a point before Monday's Game 5 to refer to Kevin Durant as the "one superstar" on the Oklahoma City Thunder. What about Westbrook?

"I think he's an All-Star but not a superstar," Cuban said.

36 points, 12 rebounds and 9 assists as he put your team out of the playoffs Mr Cuban

If Cuban was serious, I'd say he's misguided. If he was simply trying to get in Westbrook's head, I'd say he failed.
