Shaq, Iverson, Yao headed to the Hall of Fame

Those three have all been confirmed for induction this year. I'd say it's well-deserved all around; there's no way that Shaq wouldn't have been first ballot.

Incidentally, this makes Allen Iverson the first former Grizzlies player to be inducted.

Yao being included is a joke if T-Mac and Vince Carter don't make it in the future.

All 3 are very deserving but we have to remember it's not the nba HOF it's the Naismith's Basketball hall of fame so it's what that player has done for the game of basketball on the whole so I think that puts Yao right in there.

Pretty sure Yao's HoF induction isn't because of his play in the NBA.

I guess his inclusion is similar to Sabonis's. BTW young Sabonis will be playing in the NBA next year. Pretty cool.

Kobe's done more for basketball in Asia than Yao did. Yao's global impact is overrated.

Do you seriously think the Naismith Hall of Fame aren't going to highly consider T-Mac and VC. The amount of shit they would get if either of those didn't qualify.

BTW, Yao in every way deserves to make the Hall of Fame. Look at his CBA achievements and averages. Hot damn.

The CBA is D-League level.

He was truly one of a kind. We'll never see another player like him. 7' 5", sweet shooting stroke, too quick for his own body.

Kind of a common theme with the other two, as it's unlikely we'll see such a prolific scorer at 6' or under or such a dominant big man again.
