NBA with ABA (2000-present)

Sun Feb 14, 2016 12:59 pm

Suggestions for improvement of the teams: More affiliates out of the D-League. List:

ABA (2000-present):
Georgia Gwizzlies (Memphis affiliate)
Baltimore Hawks (Atlanta affiliate)
Indiana State Warriors (Golden State affiliate)
Brooklyn SkyRockets (Houston affiliate)
Jacksonville Giants (Milwaukee affiliate)
Sioux City Hornets (Charlotte affiliate)
Missouri Rhythm (Utah affiliate)
New York Court Kings (Sacramento affiliate)
Charlotte Dynasty (Phoenix affiliate)
South Coast Fire (Miami affiliate)
Las Vegas Jokers (Orlando affiliate)
Orange County Novastars (Washington affiliate)
Jersey Express (Indiana affiliate)
Team NetWork (Dallas affiliate)
Chicago Fury (New Orleans affiliate)
Chicago Steam (Chicago affiliate)
Dallas Impact (To be the Dallas Spurs) (San Antonio affiliate)
York Buccaneers (Cleveland affiliate)

Is that a good idea?

What's the suggestion here? That's they're being added as farm teams, or to the NBA itself?

All of these teams already have a D-League affiliate, and at least half own a D-League affiliate already.

No NBA team is stupid enough to buy an ABA team. The CBA importation was a completely different situation in terms of finances/existing operations of the merging teams. The ABA can't even trust their franchises to attend scheduled games and the players can't trust that they'll be paid.
