Hansbrough back in North Carolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Hornets have agreed to a contract with free-agent power forward Tyler Hansbrough, a person familiar with the situation said Tuesday.

The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the move hasn't been announced.

Hansbrough played college basketball at North Carolina. He is the sixth new player to join the Hornets this offseason.

The 6-foot-9, 250-pound Hansbrough is a six-year NBA veteran who spent the past two seasons with Toronto after four with Indiana.
