Free agent Gerald Green has reached agreement on a one-year deal with the Miami Heat, league sources told Yahoo Sports.
Green, 29, blossomed with the Suns in two seasons after the team acquired him from the Indiana Pacers. After arriving with the Suns in 2013-14 to deliver the best season of his career – averaging 15.8 points in 82 games – his production and minutes slipped in the 2014-15 season. Green deepens the Miami bench, a scorer who can play behind the Heat's talented wings, including Dwyane Wade.

This is because Winslow isn't good enough. In Summer League, he's been quite disappointing. Stanley Johnson is looking like a real deal while Winslow is not.
Green should be able to help the Heat right away. Good signing.

Good signing for the heat. Maybe a steal considering he can be a spot starter at a minimum salary

He's a solid role player at best, should see plenty of minutes in Miami coming off the bench.

I have a feeling that Gerald Green has a really good chance of tying, or breaking, the record held by Joe Smith, Chucky Brown, and Jim Jackson for most NBA teams played for (12).
