Blazers had already lost LaMarcus Aldridge - Kim Hughes

Postby Kevin on Fri Jul 03, 2015 1:01 am

Blazers assistant coach Kim Hughes told an Indiana TV station that the team had lost forward LaMarcus Aldridge. "Well, people don't realize we just went young," Hughes says in the video, according to The Oregonian. "We didn't publicize it, but we lost LaMarcus Aldridge. It hasn't been declared yet, but I'm sure he won't come back. We will go young."

Seems like they are rebuilding.

Not too surprising. LaMarcus was shopping hard and the Blazers were making weird moves as if they were taking entirely different direction.

They still have Lillard and a couple of other good players. Seems more like a re-tool than a full on rebuild, but you could argue that's splitting hairs. In any event, it's definitely Lillard's team moving forward, and it looks like the on-going discussions they're supposedly having with Aldridge are just lip service.

There are reports that Lillard is flying to LA to convinceLMA to stay. There is hope...wouldnt do that if LMA was surely gone.
