Good shooter, solid player, but arguably a little too much.

Good shooter and a really good defender.

So good luck with teams trying to score big on that team in a couple of years.

MCW, Middleton, Giannis, Henson.

But does this mean they'll play Giannis or Jabari at the 4 spot ?

I think the hope there is Giannis develops his perimeter game and Parker just develops altogether. Have those 2 as interchangeable at both forward spots. Henson is a good piece but not a starter, similar to Dudley. I think a player like Tyson Chandler would be great fit as their center.

Suddenly Wade's alleged asking price 3 years for 60 mil is looking like a bargain for the Heat.

Not necessarily. Obviously no track record like Wade...Middleton is only 23, shoots efficiently, defends, can play either wing. Good for the small market bucks for keeping one of their guys

Surprised that bargain deal for wade hasnt been made yet

You think Butler nor Love is worth max but this kid's worth 14 per season for max num of years. You know how silly you sound sometimes with all these different standards you got going on here? Like we not supposed to meaninglessly chat about new talent speculation but the Bulls thread is mindlessly full of what 'if's by...

Good one buddy.

I said butler is not worth the NEW max, regardless of what it will be. I believe we both agreed on that one. Move on

I sincerely hope your resigns a contract both good for him and the organization. Just waiting for it to happen

They may not be worth the max but Middleton is not worth $70 mil. 1 Butler or Love (say new max is 28 mil) is better than 2 Middletons (28 mil). Heck, Middleton makes more than Bledsoe.

Deng opted in for 10 mil, but people don't think it was a good deal.

you seem to be forgetting one major factor, none of the guys you mentioned will be joining the bucks. he may not be worth that deal to many teams in the league but the bucks are not going to be signing anyone else.

You seem to be forgetting that I never said Bucks shouldn't have done it. Needs be there, who knows.

But simply calling an overpaid player an overpaid player is not a wrong thing.

You do realize that every player in the league has a different max, right?

It's based on their years of experience like the minimum salary.

Ok so you think Middleton was overpaid. Anything else we miss?

Obviously.

What's it gotta do with what we were discussing.

Move this post to the bee hive of activity known as the Miami Heat thread if you like...
Is deng at $10mil a bad deal? It's possible his agent contacted other teams and there wasn't a better offer out there. I'm surprised. Surely there was a team willing to pay more for a serviceable 2 way player and good locker room guy

From your post:

Butler and Love have different maxes, as does Middleton.
